CHICAGO -- A grease spill at the Chicago Bears practice facility has essentially ended the team's outstanding 2006 run.

At approximately 12:35 p.m., Bears' standout players Rex Grossman, Thomas Jones, Bernard Berrian, Mushin Muhammad, Olin Kruetz, Desmond Clark, John Gilmore, Brian Urlacher, Robbie Gould, Lance Briggs, Nathan Vasher, Charles Tillman, Adewale Ogunleye, and Tommie Harris all tore their respective anterior cruciate ligaments when the players slipped on the spilled cooking oil.

The players, along with coach Lovie Smith - blinded when the grease ended up in his eyes, will miss the remainder of the season.

"I don't know what happened," Grossman said. "One minute, we're being compared to the 1985 Bears and the next, some trainer opened up a Web site called 'SpursTalk.'"

Chicago will travel to Arizona for a game against the Cardinals Sunday evening.

Good Runningback, Good Quarterback, Good Wide Recievers, Good OLine, and Improving Defense. I guess you have to not be a fan of the team to be optomistic about their chances.

Hey TPark, when you gonna respond to what Slomo said about you in the Beno thread?
