Beno has the ability its up to him to put it all together....
I haven't really given my 2 cents on this on yet so here we go...
The positives
1. Beno can shoot, when he came in his rookie year he was lights out and yet he's still improved with this, to the point where he now has a pullup, leaning forward a little, jumper thats consistent and has shredded many defenses over his short career.
2. He can pass, his court vision coming into the league as a rook was well above average. The only problem here is he is no longer a rookie... even if that were the last time he played regually.
Negatives
1. Defense. Ouch. Beno is a biggish PG, even if he were in shape he would be of a bigger frame than most. He needs to step up his conditioning and quickness if he wishes to crack the rotation.
2. Handles... not really blowing anyones mind there am I?
Overall
It is definately in the Spurs best interests if Beno can get healthy, get fit and learn to dribble. Should that all occur the rest should all fall into place and Beno will be a solid backup PG and probably deserve a starting role somewhere in the league.
