Someone posted this on this board. He was wearing a hat with a blue brim...the official hat has a white brim. HAHA. It is a pretty good thread.

    Nice.

I think the guy that started that thread still has his balls in his throat from when The Gambler kept screaming at Pudge to "Give me the ing ball!" after every strikeout.

    That was just classic.

That must be why Joe Torre kept his job... he pointed out the BP cap to Steinbrenner.

I understand Yankee fan's argument there. ARod's psyche is very delicate. If he was expecting to see a pitcher with a wool 5950 cap, and instead he is wearing a mesh cap with a black brim, that totally throws off his concentration and makes him go 1 for 14 in the series. Jim Leyland is an evil genius.

This same problem also cost the Yankees the 2004 LCS against the Red Sox. ARod would have singlehandedly won that series for New York, but the unkempt appearance of the Red Sox threw him off and things snowballed.

Maybe this had more merit than we thought, for different reasons than the OP thought...

Remember the good old days when baseball was a game played by gentlemen that espoused the virtues of good sportsmanship, and no one cheated?

    Sincerely,

    Never
