ty bar.
I'm playing Single Dad this weekend as I spent all of last year gone from home during the week only to be home on the weekends, and until a couple of monthago, working full time in Florida away from the family. So this weekend my wife is up at lake LBJ with a few girlfriends taking a well deserved break away from us.
Question is, anyone know of any neat places to take the kids (5 and 1) so we don't completely trash the house building couch cushion forts and spray painting the cat?
That's a good one. What kid wouldn't love that.
The Zoo. Kids love the zoo.
Here is a link to OurKids SA it lists all the kid friendly thing to do in SA.
There are lots of things to do like take them to the McNay art museum where they have a family fun time art class on Saturday. Search through the site and I'm sure you'll find something fun, unique and age appropriate. Although it might not be as exciting as a fight or a ty bar.

It will most likely rain this weekend, stay indoors whatever you do.
I was going to suggest ourkidssanantonio.com too.
Man... ty bar is taken already. So is the brothel. How bout you give them all a few beers to knock them out.
Not to be too obvious, but just take them to the park!
Take them to the flea market. I used to love going to the flea market with my dad.
I still say if they are 1 and 5 that McDonalds is the ticket. They love that "sea of balls" thing...you can toss the one year old in (extra points for multiple flips) and let they 5 year old fetch it. Keep doing it till you wear them both out. Take them home, put them to bed and then break out the cigars, booze, and porn.
I think they've started to get rid of the "ball pits" all together, because of some kid getting sick from feces at the bottom of a "ball pit" in one of the area restaurants. "sea of balls"?![]()
the zoo is great. took my daughter really liked the butterfly garden at the san antonio zoo.
Just be a kid with your kids.
Play with them with their toys.
Take a trip to McD's.
Children's Art Museum
Nothing beats lying on the floor crashing Hot Wheels cars with my 1 year old. I'd hate to feel like I HAVE to take kids somewhere to keep them entertained. Yeah, the zoo/aquarium/museum ideas are fun, but nothing beats just being a kid with them.
Assuming it's still open, take them to the Quadrangle at Ft. Sam and let them feed the deer (you'll have to bring the food).
The problem with the zoo is that its supposed to rain this weekend.
Thanks for the suggestions. The ty bar would be nice, and I'm sure me and the boy (The 1 y.o.) would dig it, but the girl, maybe not so much.
I think a trip to Mickey D's, a hike through the green belt behind the house to watch all the butterflies, plenty of coloring in coloring books and me making giant towers out of blocks so the boy can knock them down and laugh his ass off.
May take them out front if the new hot soccer mom neighbor decides to mow her lawn in her Juicy shorts again though...
