Atrios
I linked to Atrios because he is quoting Krugman and Krugman is behind the subscriber wall at the NY Times:
The current Congress has shown no inclination to investigate the Bush administration. Last year The Boston Globe offered an illuminating comparison: when Bill Clinton was president, the House took 140 hours of sworn testimony into whether Mr. Clinton had used the White House Christmas list to identify possible Democratic donors. But in 2004 and 2005, a House committee took only 12 hours of testimony on the abuses at Abu Ghraib.
Let that sink in for a moment. That tells you where the priorities of the Republican party are. They have no interest in the welfare of this nation unless there is something in it for them. They ran endless witchhunts during the Clinton administration but nary an investigation of anything the Bushies have done, nothing about what corrupt Repubs like Cunningham, Ney, Delay, etc...... It's all about the power with these guys. To with the people, they will lie, smear, cover up, break the law, whatever it takes to hang on to power, or should they be out of power, to take it back.
