...actually he is a moron. but he had two moments of genius during Cold Pizza.

    1. he said if there was a one year draft right now, he thinks Duncan would be taken above everyone = true

    2. Matt Schaub is twice the QB of vick = true

    Bayless IS a moron.

And, if there were a one year draft right now, and team that doesn't take either LeBron or Kobe would be silly.

There are proably 5-6 players that could arguable go #1 in a one year draft. What would be the determining factor is not if a team gets Kobe or LeBron or Duncan or Wade or Dirk but who they get in spots 2-15. These so-called superstars are the foundation for greatness but without pieces around them they won't get you very far.

If I had the choice it would be between Duncan and LeBron. I would lean toward Duncan simply because it is would be harder to find a top 5 PF in the later rounds than a top 5 SFs/SGs. Dominant low-post players are rare whereas the league is top-heavy with solid perimeter players. If for no other reason than that, I would agree that Duncan would likely be the first pick in a one-year draft.

Either way, you can't really go wrong with the top picks. It's how you build around them that will tell the story. If you were building for the future that would be another story. That's LeBron all the way...

Duncan would be the choice. He's coming in determined and healthy and hungry to atone for a sub par year. Say o to next season's MVP.

I don't think Tim Duncan will win another regular season MVP. And, I don't think he cares if he does. For several years, that trophy is going to LeBron or Kobe, and maybe Wade or Dirk.

I say Duncan does not win the MVP next season, but he's back in the running for it - in the top 3 vote wise. yes I'm serious.

Well, if this truly is the beginning of the 100 FTs a game for star wingmen era of the NBA then I would definitely take Kobe or Lebron.

I would taken Duncan because (for the 100th time) he's the only once who has proven that you can build a championship around him alone.

If all of these guys were starting off without a past history, it would be hard to pass up LeBron.
