Have any of you been to Alamo Ranch? It's a new master planned community (15,000 total homes) in the vein of "Stone Oak" which is why I guess it's being called the next Stone Oak. Anyway, it's right off of Culebra Rd. just north of 1604.

I drive through there today and it looks ten times better than Stone Oak, in terms of the roads. I've never seen this at a intersection in a neighborhood but the intersections have "turnarounds" ala the freeway access roads. Also, the landscaping is really nice.

Has any one else been through there? Construction on homes just began a few months ago.

Also, does anyone know when the city plans to widen Culebra north of 1604?

It's Pulte, Meritage Homes, Del Webb, DR Horton, there might be other builders.

The "next" Stone Oak is going to be across from UTSA. All the land behind Six Flags (specifically Kyle Sealy Rd) is about to explode. With The Shops of La Cantera, The Rim and another huge developement slated at 1604/I-10, this area is going to be a hot zip code to live in. In fact, from 1604 down I-10 to Leon Springs is seeing explosive growth as speak.

Its a GREAT time to invest in land out that way.

That other retail development at 1604/10 is Regal Hills being built by Turnberry.

That are you're talking about is being setup up as a HUGE 9,000 acre development. So yeah, it might as well be the next Stone Oak, but heck, I read an article not to long ago that saud 5-6 developments the size of Stone Oak are planned north of Stone Oak.

Like out 281? They better fix the traffic problem before doing any large scale stuff out there.

I'm soooo ready to get the outta Stone Oak.
