You ever wonder why liberals come across as smug assholes to the general public? I think it has something to do with the way we play the game, there is a time to stoke the fire (when you are talking to your base, even though we old people get angry enough just listening to the issue, the rhetoric is a turnoff to me) and there is a time to simply engage in civil discourse.
The country is inclined to feel for the conservative in this situation anyway, attractive young woman, well spoken, and uninterputive.
