there is an article I posted in the nba section in the diaw extension thread that now says starver is willing to pay the tax
thomas to suns for eric williams and beno?
I came across this today on Real GM and wondered if the Spurs would be interested. Then I thought problably not due to salary constraints.

Suns Likely To Shop Thomas

Sun-Sentinel - The extension that Boris Diaw signed this week will likely mean the Suns will attempt to deal Kurt Thomas' $8 million salary they have on the books for the 2007-2008 season.
Shawn Marion and Amare Stoudemire also have large deals and their owner has repeatedly expressed a strong desire to avoid the luxury tax.

If the new frontline guys aren't panning out by January, sure. His deal pretty much fits our long range plans and we could have enough expiring deals to make it attractive to Sarver.
You'd have to throw Bonner in too.thomas to suns for eric williams and beno?
they can have horry not bonner
That would be a slap to Horry after the way he left PHX, and his deal isn't expiring.
EWill & Beno for Thomas does not work...Thomas makes about $8 mil. & EWill & Beno combined make about $5.5.
I would do a trade of EWill for James Jones &Piatkowski which works..or
Oberto for James Jones straight up, which also works.
Assuming that there's an actual exchange of talent involved and not just the shifting of contractual obligations, why on Earth would the Suns make a deal with a team that they're likely to be competing against in the playoffs?
Quit ruining the armchair GM thread.
Elson, Bonner, and cash.
