cool
Firefox 2 is now available!!!
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
You will love the spell check function!
P.S. Upgrading is a breeze. Download from the link above and install, it will install itself over the old version keeping all favorites, passwords and add-ons.
Some add ons are not available yet for V2 but it will keep checking for them and install them when they are.
Very nice job Mozilla!
Was it released today?
I think yesterday was the official release date
WTF?
That link went to a "Get IE 7" page!

Not for me, maybe you have some M$ viru$ware getting in the way. Try this link:

What I loved was that while it took IE 7 forever to update IE 6, FF 2.0 took only a few seconds. And FF 2.0 > FF 1.5 >>>>>>>>>>>> IE 7.
It was a joke dude.
just installed it, haven't yet gone over the changes, anybody know what they are exactly, it looks the same.
I think most of the best stuff is quite subtle.
It looks like the famous memory leak is gone
On my notebook it runs even a little faster than before
Session saver is now built in
you can enable/disable add ons without uninstalling them
That's what I've seen so far
But by far the best option is the spell checker!!! Look at that first
and yes SB we have spell checkers in Slovenia, there's one built in in the new firefox![]()
If the memory leak is gone, I don't care about anything else.
got it![]()
Its not a memory leak. Firefox keeps a cache of the pages you've been to so that it can display them faster. There are options to make the cache smaller.
L M A O
(although in truth, ducks' spelling is rarely the issue)
ducky ducks, questions end with a punctuation mark!![]()
I installed it but it didn't save any of my bookmarks or favoriteshow can I get them back? I don't see any of my extensions either.
Weird!
Hope this helps: http://home.att.net/~cherokee67/fflostbkmk.html
Love it, just downloaded it, I like the Price comparison add on, and the weather add on as well.
Great great stuff.![]()
It is pretty slick.
And it was sheer marketing genius to release 2.0 one week after IE 7's semi-disasterous rollout.
I tried this but it only showed 1 profile and it's not the 1 I was using previously. I'm not very knowledgeable about this kind of stuff. I just want to go back to the way it was before.
I just saw a review on CNet today and wondered how long I had been missing out on the new version, apparently not long, needless to say I downloaded and installed earlier today.
Naw, there was definitely a glitch. I would be browsing someplace like ebay, going thru a search results page, and when I hit the back arrow, nothing would happen. When I right clicked on it, there were multiple indications of the same web page. I would actually have to right click, and select the page way down on the list to go back one page.
The new one is nice. I just wish they would put in a BT client like Opera has.
That was lovely. Only took about 30 seconds from start to finish.
