BloombergOct. 24 (Bloomberg) -- Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez leads his closest rival ahead of the Dec. 3 vote by 35 percentage points in a Zogby International poll, the fourth survey this month suggesting a landslide win for the president.

"Chavez has used a record oil windfall to spend about half the national budget in health care and education services as well as food subsidies for the nation's poor."

The funny thing is NBADumbass over there is pimping Chavez left and right without knowing jack about the subject. I went to Caracas last June for a week to visit friends. I could not find a soul who had anything good to say about Chavez. Chavez isn't helping the poor, he's bribing them with monthly allowences. The dude pays the poor to go vote, not only that BUT HE TRANSPORTS THEM IN BUSES!!
It doesn't matter either way, NBADan over there has his mind set on Chavez being the second coming. When it boils right down to it, I'm a firm believer that Venezuela got what it had coming. After decades of abuse the poor finally got tired and voted for the first incompetent son of a that promised them food and money, and the worst part is he has enough oil to continue the charade for decades. Chavez will continue to win landslides for the next 20 some years, just like in sunny old Cuba. Perhaps then NBADan will get it... or perhaps not, thick headed as he is.
Eee..gahd..The dude pays the poor to go vote, not only that BUT HE TRANSPORTS THEM IN BUSES!!
Both major parties do that here dumbass.![]()
