I saw that in the news
pretty good!!
Spurs are now 10-0 in Season openers in Pop's career as coach.![]()
Wish they were 10-0 is their last games of the year.
Still this is a pretty nice accomplishment, and speaks volumes of Pop's training camp preparations and scouting of their first opponents.
Congrats.

pretty good!!
When I opened my eyes this morning, that 10th W sure looked beautiful.
Wake up and smell the ...... P A Y B A C K, sweetened with Elson high-energy sugar and Beno non-fairy creamer !![]()
I saw that last night- very cool.![]()
i thought it was 10-0 in the Tim Duncan era
What's the difference, exactly?
Pop didn't coach the opener in his one non-Duncan year.
NBA record is 11 straight, but I can't remember who the coach was.
Probably somebody like Don Nelson.![]()
The more I think about it, it might have been Bill Fitch.
Fitch has in in basketball
In all sports, it's Tom Landry with 17.

The others who recorded streaks of 10 or more seasons were Tom Landry, 17 (1965-1981); Bill Fitch, 11 (1978-1989); and George Allen, 11 (1966-
I'd be willing to bet that Pop is the only one that's 10-0...
I know Landry didn't win his first game. Pretty sure Fitch didn't...
Man, there's nothing like the day after a Spurs victory.
And when it's against the Mavs or Lakers . . .
