They Grow 'em Big In Oregon

This Sturgeon was caught on the Willamette River just below Oregon City.


It weighed in at over 1,000 lbs and measured out at 11'1".


It was 56" around the girth and took over 6 and a half hours and 4 dozen beers for the 4 guys taking turns reeling.

They were getting drunk while catching the fish...that is the best part. Whoever was reeling had to have someone else give him the beer.

6 1/2 hours??!! Wonder if he passed close enough to the boat to have someone take a shot at him with a .357. A large caliber weapon is part of any true fisherman's tacklebox.
