Let's hope that it didn't.
Of course, there's nothing good that comes of something like this.
Breaking on ESPN...
Sad to hear.
On another note, wonder if that had anything to do with the Florida International business...

University of Miami defensive tackle Bryan Pata was shot and killed Tuesday night, shortly after leaving the practice field, according to a university official with knowledge of the situation.
The official, speaking on condition of anonymity because a formal announcement still was being prepared by the university, had no knowledge of the cir stances surrounding Pata's death.
Miami-Dade police refused to release specific information about what happened.
Pata, a 6-foot-4, 272-pound senior, is from Miami.
very sad to see someone so young die so tragically.
Man, what the 'Canes have gone through has got to go down as one of the roughest single season ANYONE, college or pro, has had to deal with.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Pata's family tonight, as well as the entire Hurricane football team.
Miami (the city - not necessarily the school) has really been in the press about being a pretty bad city as far as crime goes. It used to be lauded as a big party Carribean-like town, but all I hear now is about how bad the crime has become. Can't look good for tourism.
^Would never wish something like this on any player from any team, my thoughts and prayers go to him and his family.
