Does no one else think having pro athletes in Vegas full time is a bad idea?
Come on. There are way too many thugs now. What's going to happen when these guys hit the streets of Vegas?
I can't provide a link to a story yet. I just heard it on Fox Sports Net Radio. Will the Kingz be making their way to Las Vegas soon?

nah, it's a great idea. i for one love it when players make asses of themselves on a regular basis.
Two words if that happens:
High Comedy
NBA Vegas won't happen while Stern is running the show, and he's said so, repeatedly.
The Maloofs are already having fantasies of free agents underbidding each other to play for them in Vegas.
Jason Terry to the Las Vegas Kings!
The City of Sacramento is stupid.
True. Prepare to become a no-horse town.
No way that an NBA team winds up in Vegas. NBA games would have to be taken off the board of every casino which would mean millions of lost revenue. Won't happen.
It's happened before, when ITT/Sheraton owned the Knicks.
Vegas will not support a team. Too many casinos would have to give up gambling options on NBA games. It will never happen. More likely scenario is Lousiville. There is stong sentiment to bring back the Kentucky Colonels. If this happens Pepsi/KFC indorsements are already in place for the arena to be called the bucket. Sacramento may not move, but the next team that does has money and endorsements waiting.
Viva Las Vegas.
The NBA is already establishing a presence there with the next All-Star Game.
If not Vegas......OKC. If they don't get the Hornets or the Sonics.
That would be cool. There is stong sentiment to bring back the Kentucky Colonels.
Why is he having AllStart Weekend there this year?
Hey dumb , do you realize the proposal was turned down because THERE WAS NO DEAL IN PLACE.
Now you tell me how it is stupid to vote no on something that has zero percent chance of happening because it doesn't exist.
Why not Seattle if the Sonics split? Though i've thought the Blazers could end up in Seattle if the Sonics split as well.
leon valley
Because they made some agreement about not taking bets on the AllStar game there or something like that. But Vegas isn't going to stop having bets on NBA games, so Stern won't let a team move there.
Seattle looks like they are putting together a pretty good proposal about builiding an arena in Bellevue (suburb) so they might end up staying put.
They are, but is that proposal to keep the Sonics our lure another team? That remains to be seen.
What she said. Stern got them to take one meaningless exhibition game off the board. Mandating the loss of revenue for 1200+ regular season games plus playoffs is NOT going to happen, and that's Stern's condition for an NBA team in Vegas.
No-one seems to question the premise that NBA team + Vegas equals more likelihood of corruption. This premise just doesn't stand up to me, not in the age of information technology. Corruption can happen from one side of the world to the other with a phone call or text message. Someone please explain to me how that changes if there's an NBA team in Vegas?
It's much more traceable if you do it long distance (phone records, internet fingerprints ) which would be an inhibiting factor. Much easier to meet Guido on the corner for the hookup.
