Brian Cardinal comes to mind.Reminds me of the days of giving out max contracts to marginal players.
I'm thankful that the Spurs only have one person on that list. Could be like the Knicks and have two players on there.
Forgot to mention, if you click on the actual link - it has the individual salaries for every player in the league...
Interesting looking at teams like New York, compared to the Bobcats. Sheesh.
What Grant Hill did to the Magic should go down as the greatest ass raping in history.
No, that would be Isiah Thomas vs. the Knicks. His decisions have cost them more millions than any one player. What Grant Hill did to the Magic should go down as the greatest ass raping in history.
Just think....LaBron James isn't even on that list yet.

In case no one has made a motion to ban the burgerking emoticon yet...allow me.
Let's nip this in the bud before it's gets started.
A lot of these guys are at the way end of their deal, with contracts that were heavily backloaded. Cleveland is paying out 13 mil for Larry Hughes this year, Geez he is not worth half that and it is only going get higher as the years go on.
finley getting paid more than duncan!![]()
how about jalen rose and eddie jones making the list!![]()
I don't know what I like more about this list, that the Spurs' "other" is 40 K and the Mavs is 23 mil, or that our starting backcourt makes 500 K more than Marbury.
We have two...Cuban's just paying one of them...and that's even better.
Other than Fin...Jalen Rose, Eddie Jones, and Stevie Francis stand out as the most overpaid, with Chris Webber and Larry Hughes close behind.
Edit: Marbury and Hill (because of injury issues) are pretty bad as well.

If you're interested in salaries for all NBA teams this is a really nice resource and it's much more detailed than hoopshype...

Actually he isn't. It was written in Fin's (Dirk and Dampier's too) contract that if he were ever waived that his payments would be deferred in $5 million increments over x years.
I never thought this day would come, but I agree with that statement. The Magic had to know what the story was with Grant when they signed him -- they chose to do it anyway. Grant hasn't been fortunate with injuries, but he's worked hard to make good on his deal. That strikes me as quite admirable.
Certainly, he's overpaid in real terms (as are all NBA players) and overpaid in relative terms, too; but there are many other teams that have gotten far less in return than the Magic have gotten from Grant Hill.
*sigh*
List just isn't the same without Keith Van Horn on it.
LOL at Jalen Rose. I think the Suns now have the highest paid player who won't ever top 15 minutes a game. Hahahahahaha.
How was it his fault? Injuries and botched operations, you can't blame Hill for that. Bad luck for all concerned is what it was, not a heist.
Eddie Jones is a strange one. World beater with the Lakers, traded, then all of a sudden became a role player... I don't think he's a quitter. He had a bad injury or two back in 2001-2 or something, didn't he?
I agree. Hill was the next superstar. He got hurt. happens.
Things that pop out -
Pau Gasol is not even the highest paid player for the Grizzlies
Atlanta has put together a really good team for very little money. We'll see how good they can remain in 8 months, but still...they may have gotten the steal of the decade if Joe Johnson continues to look like a franchise player. That was the biggest gamble since the Bucks decided to dismember their roster in favor of building around the then-unknown Michael Redd.
Rasho is the Raptor's highest paid haha
