Darius Miles is overrated.

Microfracture knee surgery...

He is always injured.
Probably the best thing that could've happened to the Blazers for the following reasons:
1) The Blazers are overloaded at the swing positions with Travis Outlaw, Martell Webster, Brandon Roy, Juan Dixon, Ime Udoka, etc. They need to figure out if Webster and especially Outlaw are worth building around and with Miles clogging up the rotation, an accurate assessment would never have been made.
2) He's the an hesis of a "character" guy. He has no work ethic and makes poor decisions off the court. He's a horrible locker room influence. Most inside the Blazers org thought that that he was the reason behind Randolph's off-court troubles. Seems Zach is doing well without him and that he might just be the franchise player they signed him to be.
3) If the Blazers show marked improvement, it might be a sign that Miles, and players of his ilk, are not the type to build around and/or carry on your team. Portland may end up eating his salary, or they could always strike a deal with the Knicks when Miles comes back.
Bad news for Miles, though he'll still get paid millions, but good news for the Blazers.
BTW...shouldn't this be in the NBA Forum?
