Told Ya I didn't do it!

FOX plans to broadcast an interview with O.J. Simpson in which the former football star discusses "how he would have committed" the slayings of his ex-wife and her friend, for which he was acquitted in a widely-watched trial, the network said.

The two-part interview, led "O.J. Simpson: If I Did It, Here's How It Happened," will air Nov. 27 and Nov. 29, the TV network said.

Simpson has agreed to an "unrestricted" interview with book publisher Judith Regan, FOX said.

"O.J. Simpson, in his own words, tells for the first time how he would have committed the murders if he were the one responsible for the crimes," the network said in a statement. "In the two-part event, Simpson describes how he would have carried out the murders he has vehemently denied committing for over a decade."

Well if Faux News could put up with Ollie and Kissinger, why not OJ?

Does anyone remember when Bill O'Reilly went on a crusade against VH1 for airing those specials about prisoner rock bands, giving airtime to (and therefore making "stars" out of) prisoners?

Don't suppose he'll have any moral indignation about his network helping OJ sell books...

I heard Bill O'Reilley really hammering Faux for running this show and said that if anybody watches it then they are too blame for sending Faux a message that they approve of this crap.

    Damnit, I'll probably watch.

I think OJ was there that night, but I don't think he himself committed the murders. Who did do it though must have known Nicole and gained her confidence. I doubt she would have stood there while OJ killed Goldman. Why didn't she run into the house? Was she killed first and then Goldman stumbled upon the perpetrators in the act? Again, this would have required more than one person, or Goldman would have screamed and ran. I've seen photos of Nicole's entrance and the crime scene, it's not a big entrance like we are thought to believe. If there was an attack going on either Goldman should have known or Nichole should have known.

You know as well as I do that an agent from the neocon cabal killed Ron and Nicole. Nicole learned the hard way you don't cross the Bush family.

If you review the tape of the cops chasing the white Bronco, you can sometimes see the shadow of the black helicopters flying overhead.

So everyone here knows better than the 12-person jury who heard hours of testimony in this case? Or perhaps its that when you look at the facts, they don't add up to OJ, and only OJ, doing the killings.

Yes. The only thing that 12 man jury did was aquit to avoid LA being burned to the ground. It was a lose-lose situation, so they chose the lesser of 2 evils.

I don't remember the case facts that well...but does anyone remember what the defense's justification/reasoning was for why OJ was seen fleeing in his White Bronco, despite the fact that police helicoptors and cars were chasing him?

We all heard hours of testimony.

Imagine the scenario, and the chance for killer, that had to occur for OJ to have killed both Nicole and Goldman by himself. Depending on how you think the timing of the crime occurred, if OJ was attacking Nicole when Goldman enters the bushy entry-way to her condo, then we must believe that he tried to take an armed OJ by himself instead of getting help? But all OJ had just a slight cut on his hand despite what had to be a violent struggle, that's it? Let's say Goldman was attacked first in a surprise hit, then Nicole was lured outside by a bloody, slightly battered OJ who had just killed a man? I think some people watch too much TV. Killing a man, watching death first-hand changes you, and Simpson was supposedly dressed in black with gloves, but if you think OJ commited both murders, then you have to believe that none of this odd behavior raised Nicole's su ions enough not to step outside? Is that even rational given their supposed violent past?

Faux News has cancelled OJ interview...

Major advertisers appear unlikely to want to be associated with the special, which could subject them to sponsor boycotts by angry viewers.

If the special airs commercial-free, Nielsen would not count it, erasing any ratings e Fox would get to improve its performance this November.
    Broadcasting Cable

Fox could not afford the ratings loss, nor the loss of advertisers. Cancelling OJ has nothing to do with shocked sensibilities

O.J. Simpson’s Book and TV Special Are Canceled

    By MARIA NEWMAN

Faced with a growing uproar, Rupert Murdoch, the chairman the News Corporation, announced this afternoon that his company had canceled publication of the pseudo-memoir/confessional by O.J. Simpson, “If I Did It,” as well as a related television special that was to be broadcast on the Fox network next week.

“I and senior management agree with the American public that this was an ill-considered project,” Mr. Murdoch said in a statement. “We are sorry for any pain this has caused the families of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown-Simpson.”

Mr. Simpson was accused of the 1994 stabbing murders of his wife Nicole and her friend Ronald L. Goldman. After a televised trial watched by millions around the world, a jury acquitted Mr. Simpson, who had always maintained his innocence. But in the unorthodox literary project, and the accompanying television special, Mr. Simpson reportedly details how he might have killed Ms. Simpson and Mr. Goldman, if he had killed them.

His book editor, Judith Regan, who also conducted an interview of Mr. Simpson for the television special, has said the book is Mr. Simpson’s confession to the murders of Ms. Simpson and Mr. Goldman. Mr. Simpson has not spoken publicly about the book or the TV special.

The project was met with a hail of criticism, especially as it revived memories of a crime that set off a searing national debate on race, crime and whether the rich get away with murder. A dozen Fox affiliates have already said they would not broadcast the two-part program, which had been scheduled during sweeps month on Nov. 27 and 29 just before publication of the book. It was being published by ReganBooks, a HarperCollins imprint owned, like the Fox network, by the News Corporation.

The News Corporation also publishes The New York Post, which featured the book and the interview on its front page on Thursday, with a photo of Mr. Simpson and his late wife, both of them smiling, with a headline reading “O.J. ’fesses.”

Earlier today, the industry trade publication Broadcasting & Cable editorialized against the program, saying "Fox should cancel this evil sweeps stunt."

The Borders bookstore chain announced last week that it would donate any profits from the Simpson book to charity.

The plans for the book and the interviews outraged family members of the victims and victims’ rights organizations.

"He destroyed my son and took from my family Ron’s future and life. And for that I’ll hate him always and find him de able," Mr. Goldman’s father, Fred Goldman, said on ABC last week.

Ms. Regan is known for promoting books by celebrities and controversial figures like Jenna Jameson, the pornography star, and Jose Canseco, the steroid-popping baseball player.

Ms. Regan has said she considered the book to be Mr. Simpson’s confession, although she acknowledged that he did not say directly in the book or the interview that he killed his wife and Mr. Goldman.

In a lengthy statement she released last week, Ms. Regan said she pursued the project because she too had been a victim of abuse and wanted “to hear him say, ‘I did it and I am sorry.’ ”

“I wanted his confession,” she said.
