A month ago, I would have said Cal not only had a chance to beat USC, but would do so convincingly. After that Arizona game, I'm not so sure anymore. They should have won that game with ease, but ended up losing. Looking at their schedule thus far, they seem to be ultra-tough at home, but not as good on the road (a little like Lousiville in that regard) - and even their last two home games vs. Washington and UCLA didn't impress me a whole lot. USC was struggling a few weeks ago by beating less-powerful foes in the last min ot two by <7 pts. They *seem* to have gotten back on track, but we'll find out for sure against Cal.

i can tell you that the place is going to be nuts. the crowd was huge last saturday... and i haven't heard the place quite as loud as it was against cal in 2004, even from the beginning. i want cal to start right by the thundering herd. i lost my voice last weekend, and i'm ready to do it again.
man, i wish i could go to the game. if SC makes the le game i am definitely going to go. not only lose your voice, but do so for me as well. i'll be there in spirit.
...just got my hi def set up today here in Montana for the game!
no doubt the 9 of us will yell enough for you too... and the crazy old lady next to me will also definitely lose her voice for you (that's what happens after she has her schnapps).

no. and its not that they have not improved, its that they have regressed. when their offense is on, they are unstoppable. otherwise they just look like a top 20 team.
so no. but they have the ability to be there with ohio state, they just aren't doing it...especially right now.
...also, i like the play calling in this game. booty just can't get it to the receivers.
