He's a second year player, out of Providence, where he set a couple of all time scoring records, and maybe a conference scoring record as well
He had a few exellent games late last season, after it was too late to give Paul Pierce any real help
who actually the only one besides Jason Kidd to contribute on his team a triple-double this season?
an SF, a rookie(?), playing only an eve of 29min but he's ave 9.2 pts, 7 rbds, 3.1 assts @ 49.3%FG
He followed up triple-double vs Charlotte-10pts;12rbds, 10 assts with another great game on Friday against Utah w/ 11pts & 9 rbds, 3 assts.
he is good or he just got lucky?

He was a player the Pistons were looking at in the 05 draft along with Fransisco Garcia. They ended up taking Maxiell, either hoping Gomes would drop to them in the 2nd round or unsuccessfully trading up for him.
you do realize celticfans love to boast about their current young players who have done jack in the league right.....
Gomes is more an undersized PF than a SF.
He might have played a lot of the 4 position, but he's a natural 3.
He has a SF body but he clearly lacks perimeter skills (for the moment ) to be a SF.
PF skills in a SF body = undersized PF.
Definitely an undersized PF, although when you have Marion, Battier, Nocioni and Chuck Hayes starting at the 4 you really have to start asking yourself if it matters that much
Something must have happened since his Providence days
