That would be admirable of him... I certainly don't think he's under any obligation to do so.
Supposedly from a Boston radio station.
Fair enough. Hope he does.
That would be admirable of him... I certainly don't think he's under any obligation to do so.
admirable? he should already have conceded...
Considering the importance of this race, and how close Ohio was, if it takes one extra day to make sure everything is accurate, I've got no problem with that.
If it turns out to "one day" then I have no problem also.
I hope he does concede. It is now clear to me.
I don't think he needed to concede late last night.
Agreed Chalup. Now it is pretty clear that he can't overcome Bush's lead. However, if he gave a partial concession contingent on the outcome of the count in 10 days, I honestly wouldn't have a problem with that either.
It is inevitable, however.
To quote the brilliant Bobby Knight, ........................
Personally, I have never been a fan of conceding. to me, its too much like giving up. Then again, I am the guy who stays to the end of the game even if my team is getting their asses handed to them. When W has his 270 (to which I contributed) then Kerry needs to step up. No ing, no whining, no lawsuits, congratulate the winner and move on.
Kerry is 136,000 votes behind, there are only about 135,000 provisional votes out there. If 90% of them are allowed(unlikely), and Kerry wins 99% of them, he still loses the election. Also there are about 10,000 votes from over seas to be counted, and Bush won 80% of them in 2000....it is OVER.
Give it up....be a man, damnyou.
As long as he doesn't go Al Gore and take it to court.
I don't think there's a chance in Hades that this one goes to court... there may be some little ACLU complaints, but nothing that makes any difference.
CNN reported...kerry just conceded
