3 yrs ago when A&M was 0-16 in the Big 12, had I told you people that A&M would be #10 and UT would be #25 in less than 3 yrs, you people would have thought I was daft.

We still think your daft, Jimbo.
Just not about Aggie basketball.
I knew that was coming, I was just not sure which of you would say it.

Nice, but the season didn't start 4mos ago nor is it over in 1mo.
After the dirty play in the football game & low class showing by the majority of ags fans on this board I wouldn't be suprised to see an ag inj, maybe on the court??????
You are one pathetic SOB, you know that?
Kori, will you please ban this . I will donate $1000.00 in your name to the charity of your choice if you do.
Heading out to the Idaho St game right now, so hopfully there will be no injuries on either side, despite what head Dio is wishing for.
Go Aggies
I guess you can call me the dentist huh Jim?
I hit a nerve hard & it wouldn't be so unless it were true about you.![]()
"Kori, ban dio because he made me cry like a little !"![]()

Asking Kori to ban me because Jim, you are a FEEBLE GOT.![]()
*sigh*
Find where I posted that I wished for an injury you senile GOT.
Asking Kori to ban me because Jim, you are a FEEBLE GOT. Quote-Mr Dio
perhaps wish was the wrong choice of words, but you implied that there would be an injury to a bball player as a sort of a punishment for a football penalty.
what an idiot.

A&M squeezes off another win
Stifling defense leads to blowout of Ark.-Little Rock
By BRENT SHIRLEY
For The Chronicle
COLLEGE STATION - Thanks to another dose of suffocating defense, No. 9 Texas A&M had no trouble continuing its perfect season Monday night at Reed Arena.
The Aggies (6-0) defeated Arkansas-Little Rock 75-35, with the margin of victory setting a season high.
"Everything is falling into place," senior point guard Acie Law IV said. "We're just making shots and playing good defense."
Law led A&M with 17 points, but it was the Aggies' defense that made life miserable for the Trojans. A&M held UALR to 26 percent shooting, including an 0-for-20 performance on 3-pointers.
The game marked the second time this season the Aggies held an opponent under 40 points, joining a 69-33 victory over Saint Louis.
"I knew we would face a very hungry, hard-playing, defens-ive-minded team," Trojans coach Steve Shields said. "They attacked us, and we were a little passive at times. I have to give credit to them."
Joseph Jones scored 16 points for A&M, and Antanas Kavaliauskas added 13, both bouncing back from Saturday's victory over Idaho State in which they were held to one and four points, respectively.
"We did a great job tonight of establishing (ourselves) inside," A&M coach Billy Gillispie said.
Gillispie also was pleased the Aggies maintained their intensity, even though they were comfortably ahead throughout.
Reserve guard Donald Sloan forced two five-second calls with tight defense, the Aggies applied a full-court man-to-man press while leading by 36 with only a few minutes left in the game, and guard Dominique Kirk dove on the floor for a loose ball on a late possession.
"I want our team to play the absolute hardest it possibly can and execute the best it can," Gillispie said. "It doesn't matter what the score is. It doesn't matter what the time is. We're going to play a certain way, and it doesn't matter if it's the top guy or the last guy."
Against Idaho State, A&M didn't give up a field goal in the final six minutes. On Monday night, the Aggies didn't allow a basket in the last seven minutes.
"He (Gillispie) wants perfection," Jones said. "He doesn't want us to give up a basket. He doesn't want us to give up anything, and he doesn't want us to commit turnovers."
Earlier in the day, A&M moved into the Top 10 in the Associated Press rankings for the first time since it was No. 10 on Jan. 3, 1979. The only other time A&M has been ranked in the Top 10 was during a four-week run in 1959-60. That team was ranked No. 8 one week and 10th the following three weeks.
The Aggies' lofty ranking soon will be put to the test.
After A&M's season-opening run of seven consecutive home games ends Saturday against Pacific, the Aggies go on the road for tests against No. 10 LSU on Dec. 5 and No. 1 UCLA on Dec. 9.![]()
...can't wait for those games. going to be fun getting revenge on Pacific as well. i think A&M probably wins one of those two big games, winning both would just be incredible. but i would love nothing more than to beat ing ucla.
Fair warning....Kori is a UCLA grad....be a little more respectful
![]()
That being said, I want to beat UCLA too.
![]()
yeah...and i went to USC. ucla.....i said ucla, in case you missed it.
no offense kori, i just hate your ing school![]()
The ags currently have the 190th SOS, next they play UOP (267). After UCLA, they have 277 Fordham, 256 Jaxvlle, and 229 Grambling. Their SOS is going to severely affect their RPI, as the RPI is largely based upon SOS. Counting UOP, their opps combined record is 11-22. atm will likely be 12-2 at worst going into B12 play. 3 of their 1st 4 B12 games are on the road (BU, CU, te) and the one home game is OSU. They get the brutal sched this year (@KU, @Neb, @CU).
I believe LSU is severely overrated, and would not be suprised to see them go down. It is @ LSU, however, and LSU does not play another game for 5 days after it, whereas atm will be looking forward to the UCLA game 3 days later.
yeah, but A&M made the tourney last year with an even weaker non-conference schedule. but if A&M hopes to live up to their ranking and be a high seed they are going to have to win the big ones. if they beat either LSU or UCLA and then play well in the big 12 their strength of schedule will be plenty high. Kansas, t.u., missouri, ok state, and maybe nebraska all have a chance to be ranked this year.
The B12 will be down this year. We will be fighting to get a 5th team in, whereas it is the norm for us to get 5 easy and sometimes 6.
So far, the conference looks pretty good:
Big 12 Conference
TEAM CONF W-L TOTAL W-L
Missouri 0-0 7-0
Oklahoma State 0-0 7-0
Iowa State 0-0 6-0
Texas A&M 0-0 6-0
Nebraska 0-0 4-0
Kansas 0-0 5-1
Baylor 0-0 4-1
Kansas State 0-0 4-1
Texas 0-0 4-1
Texas Tech 0-0 5-2
Oklahoma 0-0 3-2
Colorado 0-0 2-3
Um, no it won't. By the time conference starts we'll have played UCLA, LSU, Winthrop, and Auburn (loved how you skipped over Winthrop and Auburn in your bashing of our schedule - nice work BTW).Their SOS is going to severely affect their RPI, as the RPI is largely based upon SOS.
Those four games will give us a nice boost to the RPI, with conference doing the rest. Kansas just beat #1 Florida, so when we play them we'll get a boost not only from playing them but the secondary boost from their win over Florida.
I appreciate your concern for our schedule though. As much as it was bashed last year, our final RPI ended up in the 40s, and this year we have a significantly upgraded non-conference schedule.
