Someone told me that Tim Duncan rim checked a wide open 1 foot, 1 handed dunk. I bet them a dollar they were lying. Did their accounts receivable just receive a Christmas bonus?

He did. It looked like he didn't have great control at the time. He missed what would have been a sweet dunk earlier on a break.

He tried dunking on his tippy toes, turns out he's not 7'6".

I don't know what he was trying to pull, I mean he didn't even jump and thought he was gonna slam it. WTF!?

The reason I'm mad is that he only played 22 minutes.

I think Timmy had a moment's issue with depth perception. So close!

Considering that rim-check was sandwiched between two blocks by Mourning, I'm sure he was just trying to get it up as quick as possible, and didn't make it. By the way, he gets blocked way too much.

I completely agree. He seems to have forgotten about the pumpfake. And it seems like he finds a way to miss a dunk or layup every game.

Well we know Timmy can throw it down hard whenever he wants to, he has already a few times this year. He just mistimed his leap and it was a bit embarassing but he did get the bound and the goaltending call so he saved face.

I would rather Tim get rim-checked every once in awhile then to see the next version of Malik Mohammed.

Don't sweat it he is back to playing like the best player in the world again. I expect a close game on Fri, so look for Timmy to go for about 30 and 15 win or lose and i expect a win.

Yeah he was allowed to save face

Duncan was looking to Dunk a few times (missed two, got fouled on the other one) . But he seemed to time all of them wrong.

At least he's looking for them more.

ok let's see -- the Spurs have a 10-2 record, Duncan is averaging almost 23 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 blocks in only 34 minutes, and we're hearing it because he gets blocked and misses a dunk or two?

It's really a question of what's important to a player. If you focus too much on avoiding having your shot blocked because you'll be embarassed, you won't be as aggressive as you should be and you'll be less effective for your team.

After a couple of weeks of terrific play by Tim Duncan, kris finally finds a reason to give us a "basketball" take.

no one is complaining, it's just funny. he's a great player who can barely get 10 inches off the ground.

spurs fan needs a sense of humor.

He got the two points on the play. That all that matter.

Mourning was on the side wetting himself because of the impending facial. When he saw TD miss, he tried to block the second attempt but was called for goaltending. SAD

I thought it was funny, too. I laughed out loud when Timmy went up and went "meh..."
