Has anyone else seen this? I am just now watching the episodes. For those who don't know about it, I'll submit my opinion.
The premise of the show is, 14 MMA fighters from the US go to Costa Rica to see who are the best 7 fighters out of the group. Once that is established, those 7 fighters will face members of Russia's Red Devil team on a PPV.

So here is what I think so far. You can tell they spared no expense when it came to production quality. It's almost too polished. However, I like the format. They show the profile of each fighter who will face of in the particular episode, then show a profile of the Red Devil team member that the winner will face. They then show the full fight between the US opponents.
Now for a warning. The filler between the fighter profiles and fights is extremely corny. It is especially evident in the 1st episode. It got so bad that I almost didn't download and watch the 2nd episode. It got better, but it's still annoying. The head honcho who financed this show, Calvin Ayre, has these incredibly cheesey scripted parts with his so called "agents", two girls who recruit the fighters. It's pretty pathetic.
That aside, the promotion has some pretty good talent like Chael Sonnen and Trevor Prangley and the three fights I've seen are good. Episode 3 has a female MMA bout that blew my mind. Anyway, it's free MMA and I thought I'd pass it on. Check it out if you haven't yet.
By the way, Fedor has been ringside in the three fights I have seen. He is no doubt scouting for his Red Devil teammates. I also saw Yves Edwards in their small crowd.

Dude, these women were real MMA fighters. I've never seen women throw serious leather like that. Also, there were good ground skills displayed. Two very solid fighters.

It doesn't. You have to watch it on the internet. Look at the link I posted in the 1st post and you can download each episode for free.
It was shown on the Men's Outdoor and Recreation channel (Dish Network)...I have no idea if it's re-run or not...

Season 2
Just watched the 1st episode and I have to say that I am really impressed. They cut down the corny bull of season 1 by about 75%. The season has talented fighters and the fights of the 1st episode were pretty good.
Episode 1 had Yves Edwards (UFC vet) vs. Mike Brown (American Top Team)
...and another fight! Rodrigo Damm (Brazil) vs. Black Mamba (India)
It's free to download each episode, so check it out. Especially since it has improved so much from season 1.

It airs on regular TV on Tuesday nights at 10:00. "ION" channel...just do a search for Bodog Fight: St Petersburg and you'll find it...
Last night was 2 HW fights. One of them was really good and the other wasn't....
I don't think I have that channel. I'd prefer watching it via their website anyway, since I can watch it whenever I want.
I didn't think I had the channel either until I searched for it. The channel isn't called ION until the show it on...it's a local channel. Kinda weird...
