I rate it 11 out of 16.
Ok, we're done with the first month of the season guys. How did you think we did in your opinion.
I give this month a B, B+. There were a few hiccups here and there, but a month where you can count the number of loses on one hand is all right with me. As long as the Spurs are not hung up on loses like some of the posters here, then we'll be fine.![]()
What do you guys think.
Finished badly but overall better than I thought it would be.
B
I thought it was gonna be 12-4.
So right about where I thought theyd be.
Prob not a championship caliber team though.
I thought they'd go 9-6, so eh.. not bad.
I don't expect much in Spurs Novembers.
B-
Only Tim was constant player on our team. Then there is Parker who played some good games. Barry was great on the start of the season then he fall a little bit. Oberto: One game he scores 16 pts. another game he scores 0 pts. The same is with Finley.
In December I expect more from Manu.
B, and that's being nice. This finish was awful.
9-7
12-4 should be as I predicted so I could change TParks under username phrase.
Not too bad actually. 7 games with 5 on the road in the last 10 days. 5 B2B in one month, a winning percentage that equates to 56 wins. All with new centers and Finley and Horry shooting like ......December should be better.
Somewhere in the B-range. Likely that's what we'll have all year - B's across. This is a good team, but very old, and teams like Utah and GSW will constantly be running up on us.
although I'm disappointed with the losses to Dallas and Utah because I believe you should always be motivated for statement games, I give the Spurs a B+. Some may think this is a bit high but 9 of the first 16 games have been on the road and we're 7-2. Once we can get back home for a good stretch and get some solid practices in, I see good things on the horizon for us.
I'll give them a B just cuz they had to deal with all those damn back to backs.
C+
Spurs played extremely well on the road, but have not been nearly as dominant at home. Managing to stay .500 on b2bs is probably a great stat for this team, but not-so-much for most others, so it's hard to get real excited about that. Bugaboo losses against the Cavs and Bobcats are probably more haunting than those against Dallas (which some could say, the Mavericks earned) and Utah (playing great ball at the moment). Obero has shined, but everyone is still howling for Elson. And the team outside of Brent Barry and Bruce Bowen is shooting horrendously, but they're being gutsy enough to still win ball games, which will be more vital come playoffs.
Saving one of those dumb losses would've bumped them up a letter grade. I save my As for world class domination.![]()

Randy: It was just a'ight for me. You started out okay, but seemed pitchy and weak toward the end.
Paula: Well, you look so pretty. The black and silver is very flattering and I love what Barry's done to his skull. Just keep it up, sweetie. I love you and every girl in this arena wants to have your baby.
Simon: That last game was simply appalling. You are the worst basketball team in San Antonio. No, really, I mean it. Horrendous.
