Watching it on YES network local. Totally ridiculous game. 159-157 Phoenix with 14.1 left.
tied at 143 going into the second overtime![]()

Come on Phoenix! Nets losing helps the Raptors out. Although- sorry Nachbar.
Dallas is losing by 7 to Detroit 1:28 left in the fourth at home.
Nets missed Vince's pts in the OTs.
Lawrence Frank had VC in at the end of regulation with instructions for anybody to foul, turing out to be Carter. At the moment I thought it was a bad decision - far better risk a near-miracle from the Suns to tie it (which they did) than extinguish one of your few consistent scoring options in a possible overtime. Sure enough, the Nets ran out of offense in the extra 10 minutes.
38, 14 and 14 for Kidd.
When was the last time someone had a line that good?
must have been a career high pts for Jason, he can't shoot for usually.
He is an amazing rebounder.
Kidd had a great line, but he lost the game for NJ in double OT. Franks is a moron for riding grandpa into the game late.
It's Phoenix and NJ. Did you expect any defense?
BTW, with all the talk about the ball, I think games like this are why they changed to the new ball.
The feedback from the players has been that the ball has a much softer 'feel' around the rim. We've all seen shots hit the rim and just die and drop in.
I think the moisture excuse that they used to justify the new ball was a ruse. Stern and the makers of the ball had to know these soft bounces were the norm for the new ball.
Conspiracy theorists, unite![]()
Despite this game, I still think that if Nash's hands are getting so cut up that he has to bandage his fingers in practice, there's something wrong with that damn ball besides the bounces.
I don't read posts or articles so I ask this, how are his hands getting cut up from a ball??
Several players are complaining that the ball is causing tiny abrasions (almost like paper cuts) on their fingers.
they lost alright. And Nash is a 2-time MVP. But, i always think Jason Kidd is a better player than Nash.
I saw this game last night. Neither of these teams could stop the other to save their lives. The 3pt shot by Nash to send it to OT was a sweet shot, though.
damn glad I missed this one.
I lvoe defense too much to watch a train wreck like that.
nah, the suspension of defense is offset by the offensive freak show.
It was freaky, a one-night affair, extremely rare.
To score 318 points, 224 shots.
Nets shots 52%, Suns 56%.
Suns 17/31 3Gs.
Nets 10/21 3Gs
Depends on how you look at it. If you look at it as a proportion of the total pts/fg's the team made it is about the same as a 20-7-7 stat line in an extremely low scoring ball game (in the 80s).
But yeah, as a raw stat line it is pretty sick looking.
The Big O did it on a regular basis in games without over-time, still the most under-rated great player of all time.
Nash doesn't like hugging, just ask Mikki Moore...
My understanding is that it's like fiberglass type cuts or that how i interpret it. If that's the case they might have a point, but their fingers should adjust to it in time.
