That's good to hear if it's true. I was wondering why he didn't have a spot in the NBA.
Thats all I know, friend of mine IMed me saying on 29 they said he signed with New Orleans.
That's good to hear if it's true. I was wondering why he didn't have a spot in the NBA.
They did have a free roster spot, and a need for a swingman wih Peja and Jackson out for awhile.
Good for Devin.
Guess he got kicked out of the Lifetime Fitness Pickup League.
if the man would have rehabbed hard would the end been the same.
Pop is smart but is Devin that lazy?
I'm a big Devin fan but how long do you want to bet until he gets cut again?![]()
Always have a soft spot for Devin after the effort he gave in 2004 against the 4 HOF and PJ led Lakers team. One of the few who stood up and was counted when the going got tough.
Eh, he could stick around for awhile. Coach Scott prefers effort on the floor over most anything else, so if Devin shows that he could be kept as insurance the rest of the season. Brown makes more sense to a team with playoff aspirations then a guy like Dijon Thompson or Kelenna Azubuike.
Good news! I am happy Devin will be playing again.![]()
It's a great oportunity for Devin Brown, Hornets are very thin at SG. Now, it's up to him to show that he is still a nba player.
Just yesterday morning I was just thinking about Devin and where he had wound up. Good to hear he gets another chance. Hopefully he makes the most of it.
Good for Devin.....and to all the HATERS.
At least Devin has the opportunity and is good enough to get a call from the NBA.......Yall cant shoot ball worth a and wouldnt get a call from a city league team.
Basically Devin > Non basketball playin, working 9-5 ass hats
Have a Merry Christamas!!!!
He turned down several offers for millions overseas in the last few months because he thought he'd get back to the NBA. I'm happy for him. Hopefully he works hard and sticks.
Has this been confirmed anywhere?
If true, Devin will be starting before long.
turned down millions? Maybe he's crazy.
I know of two Euroleage teams that offered him at least $2M.
That's a lot of darn money. I hope it works out for him.
2 million per year?
are you sure?
that would be quite much, even for the top spenders. (like Olympiacos, Panathinaikos or Maccabi)
Devin does not have a big name in Europe.
(like Maciauskas has, who now gets 2.8 million $ / year and now is the highest payed player in Europe)
Not $2M per year. $2M over two years from both Maccabi and Eldo Napoli. It's just hearsay, but that's what I was told.
1. Nothing gets by you. Someone who's been in the NBA better than all the fans of the league? No ... what's next? Day is the opposite of night? Water is blue?
2. If people want to hate, they can. It's not like he's an all-star, and his importance to the Spurs during his time here, much like all of our bench role players in the last 6 years, was grossly overblown.
Maybe he'll stick this time. I hope so.
But if he only gets a short term contract with the Hornets or gets waived again, I hope he'll reconsider Europe and go make some money and hone his game.
Sitting around on the bench or worse, waiting for the phone to ring, isn't worth as much as getting game experience and more exposure.
hes nowhere to be found on their roster. hes not in the league right now. and i watch nba tv all day and i never saw the news about it. who knows, maybe he did sign and just hasnt made his appearence yet,but as far as i know this isnt true
I don't think he's officially signed either. I can't find it anywhere.
NBAtv usually reports signings after they are official.
It's not a huge signing, so it will probably show up on nba.com or USA Today first, or check out a Hornets board.
