There should be a loophole in his contract saying if we dont win the championship we get to take away his wine. That'll do it.
needs to start looking in the mirror. His lineups are terrible, his adjustments are obsolete. His recruiting philosophy is terrible. He hasn't made a trade or free agent signing in years that has made a difference...
Are the Spurs really capable of winning any more championships with this core and his philosophy?
Maybe the philosophy and the plan is wrong. It's not always the will of the players.
There should be a loophole in his contract saying if we dont win the championship we get to take away his wine. That'll do it.
If anyone better was available, that could be considered.
Who is Greg Popovich? Ohhh, you must mean Gregg Popovich.
? It has nothing to do with being better... It's called making a change..
You mean to tell me Pop won championships because he was good?
No, it's because he had Duncan and Robinson.
Sorry Pop Jr. Didn't mean to spell your dad's name wrong.
At least you admit that. End of thread, then.
Was it not unanimous that Spurs had the best talent last year, save for a few fluke pickers who squak afterwords that The Heat and Mavs had more talent? When Finley was added as a FA, the mantra was the rich got richer and everyone picked Spurs as Champs. For the squakers, show me one post of yours that had The Mavs and Heat better at the start of the season*.
*Excludes Mavs suck up posters.
Pops got worked by Avery last postseason, but in the end the Spurs were in a position to advance. It was the ManuFart and ie Bav. Should it have even been that close tho?
Beno. While i have not and am not defending Beno, I can't help but wonder if its The Great Santini Style Pop who does not know jack about motivating Beno. Could it be the Bobby Knight/barking military crap simply does not work with Beno. Yeah yeah I've heard all the "Beno is a pussy" comments, and i dont know, perhaps he is. Also heard how many say Beno is right up there as being one of the better passers and shooters on the Spurs. Will he go to another team and flourish? I'm just asking, I don't say he will. Point being yes does Pop need to change some of his tactics?
The SmallBalls thing will be argued into perpetuity. It sucked, it costed.
The Spurs should hire Rick Adelman. If they are intent on becoming an offensive team he is the right man for the job.
Idiot as usual.
If you play Beno in crunch time against the Bucks, you suck. It's time to go. Not even Tarkanian would've done that.
Idiot as usual. You're the one who said it has nothing to do with getting better. That's sigworthy. You're the gift that keeps on giving.
Tpark could've won championships with Duncan and Robinson.
How many times does a coach have to go to the soft card as an excuse? How many times does a coach have to go to we aren't playing defense excuse?
How many times must Beno play? Is he Pop's son or something?
How many times is he going to sign 3rd string centers and try to make them into the next David Robinson? They would be better off without them.
Make a signature chumpdumber... I don't give a ... I've moved past the players... it's on Pop now.
it's on Pop now
What do you mean "now"?
I am not going to sit here and about players anymore, I am blaming the top dog. Gregory Popovich. The luckiest coach in the history of the NBA.
As long as he plays Beno, Bonner, Elson, Vaugn and Butler, he's an idiot. One at a time, as a combo, on IR, whatever, got damn stupid.
Quite a new year's resolution.I am not going to sit here and about players anymore
Spurs biggest problems;
1. Gregg Popovich: Has lost sight of the forest through the tress. It happens to almost all that are as entrenched as Pop has been over the years. It's not his fault but it's the truth.
2. Tim Duncan: Wasn't this supposed to be the year Duncan returned to the MVP-type level? Instead I see a lazy, arrogant, disinterested guy making 17 million dollars a year and giving a 50$ effort. Be a leader Tim, not a schoolgirl, it's pathetic and sad what's become of him.
3. Tony Parker: Stop thinking you're anything more than a third option. Time and time and time again, Parker fades like old denim in the fourth quarter and compounds it by hogging the ball doing his best Stephon Marbury impression.
3 minutes later......

exactly, because championships are won during the last week in december...
Actually, his name is Greggor Popovich.
yeah, good point.. and championships aren't won at a Game 7 at home either.

In a technical sense they are. What you do early on sets the tone for later. Watch. If we dont straighten out our defense pretty soon we're going to end up trying to get it together just before the playoffs start and its not going to work.
Who cares?
Take a sip.
