The preliminary agreement worked out with Britain, France and Germany could be finalized in the next few days, chief Iranian negotiator Hossein Mousavian told state-run Iranian television from Paris, where talks wrapped up Saturday.
en traitors those Republicans. Dealing with the enemy!

The light-water solution was one encouraged by the Kerry campaign, but the Bush administration has in the past refused to allow the importation of any nuclear fuel that could be used to produce plutonium even though studies have repeaditly shown that it would take decades to extract enough plutonium from light-water to make even a small nuclear weapon. Does this mean that W is now willing to flip-flop on this situation?

Actually head...Kerry accused Bush of not trying the multilateral approach, it was one of the many lies Kerry told during the debates...Bush was always trying to go through Europe.

And just becaue France is with us on this one doesn't mean they weren't heads about Iraq.

You have already been informed many times that the reason Bush hasn't ripped France a new one over the OFF scandal is because he still needs French intelligence and because obviously France has much influence with terrorist nations...

But just so we are clear on this...the current positioning of our military in Iraq, in Afghanistan, in Qatar, in the Arabian Sea, plus Israel being sold tons of heavy duty bombs...combined with the fact that Bush is now going to be around for 4 more years, had everything to do with the fact that Iran suddenly became more reasonable.

If you were as informed as you like to think you are you would probably have seen the intervire with O'reilly where he kept asking Bush what Bush was going to do with Iran...

Bush repeatedly said...I'm going to try dimplomacy as long as I can...

O'reilly kept asking him...but will you let them become a nuclear power...

Bush's ultimate reponse: Absolutely not. There is no way I will let that happen.

IF you think that those countries over there don't take very seriously his threats of war you are an idiot...that's why it was smart to go into IRaq first. I keep hoping you will see the light but it seems you are doomed to keep wandering in the dark...I am just thankful your candidate didn't get elected...because he would have done nothing except nego ate and the Iranians would have done as they pleased while promising to do as asked.

See the Clinton era and Iraq for proof of this...we could no longer take that approach. !

About the only part France could lay claim to was hosting the talks.

Britain and France led the way, with Britain saying "cooperate or the US will mess you up" and Germany saying "trust us, we know."

    Drachen,

I never said that the talks just lasted four days. Only that with Bush being re-elected, the sense of urgency and the impetus for getting it done increased greatly.

It doesn't mean that this situation is magically solved. I'm not sure the Israeli's will go along with this aggrement, and if Israel's not in, no way the U.S. is in, and that's not hypothetical.

Israel is in if Iran stops being commited to wiping them off the face of the planet and recognizes their right to exist.

That's all Iran has ever had to do, well that and stop painting stuff like death to America on the side of their balistic missles.....then, no more sanctions, joining the 21st century...all that good stuff.

Dan, here's the problem for people like you who apparently don't get it...

Israel won't do without our backing. They need it to hold off all the sorry ass diplomats on the UN Security Council. Israel would rather us tackle it this way than resort to violence.

I'm sorry that's lost on you.
