Tony Parker.
I'm proud of my team tonight. They fought back from 17 down in the second half and showed more heart than they've shown all year. We got beat by the zebras, not the opposition.
This is the building block we needed to get things going.
Props to the squad, most notably Manu and Tim.
Walton
Tony Parker.
Tony Parker doing for months now. Where's Manu and Tim been last couple games?
Parker was good, I've got no problem with his game but Manu and Tim were awesome down the stretch.
Manu did not play well again. He did step it up in the 4th Q and beyond, though.
They did a good job getting back in. But they should have never let the T'Wolves get up by so much. I'm neither proud, nor overly disappointed.![]()
uhhh
we lost to a sub .500
made some brilliant mistakes down the stretch that a veteran team shouldn't be making
and our coach is getting worse by the week
It was nice to see them rally, but we shouldn't have been in this position in the first place, back to back or not
I only hope we get a win against DAL on friday to get some kind of silver lining going or else we're gonna barely get a #4 seed at the rate we're playing and a swift 2nd rd exit
I agree with Walton. Congratulations to the Spurs on this overtime loss to a team with a .500 record!
Did anyone else notice how pale white Ginobili is and how sunken in, black his eyes are?
If he's not sick, he's a vampire who saw the light of day.
Yeah, this one's really on the refs.![]()
I tend to agree. I didn't see the first half, but wasn't impressed by the third.
Mark fricking Blount?(even though he has been playing well recently)
I still don't understand why there was a double technical. Should've just been a T on Davis.
Isn't this the second or third time he's owned the Spurs?
I don't think this was a bad loss. You need these close games to build playoff mettle. The season is still early.
The Spurs competed and responded with a ton of defensive stops. If Mark Blount is going to beat you hitting jumpers off the dribble, so be it.
Only thing that pissed me off was the lack of effort in trying to foul at the end of the game.
I agree.
Although I do believe Tony fouled Hassel and it wasn't called.![]()
The Spurs biggest problem is that outside of Parker, Manu, and Duncan they aren't getting much help from anyone else. Bonner has been giving them 10 and 5 a night and helping a little, but guys like Oberto, Finley, Barry, Horry, and Bowen are not doing much offensively out there.
but Timvp come on man
this is a VETERAN team
sure, elson is out, and we have some new faces, but not fouling in OT, giving it to bonner in crunch time (as much as you approved of that play)
This is like last season all over again except worse
People time and time again said "its early, Spurs will peak in march....then april.....then may.......then a 2nd rd exit to a team that just never got it going despite Duncan's foot problems
This year we have no excuses
This team plays like an inexperienced JV team sometimes with the basic fundamentals of basketball going right over their heads (Oberto, learn how to BOX OUT)
And prior to this year I almost never gave Pop for anything, but I honestly would soundly approve of Pop sitting the next few weeks out in favor of PJ
yes, it's finally come to that
I bet these losses will be forgotten once the Spurs beat the Mavs Friday...![]()
I recall some good games (I think he had another ridiculous shooting night the first game).
But the Minny announcers said that going into this game he was lifetime 1-16 vs. the Spurs (remember he played for the Celtics).
PJ sucks.
I'd take Mike Bud over PJ. (But neither of them over Pop)
you know it's sad when spurs fans REJOICE when manu has a decent game
only TP and TD play decent (and even TD has given up on this season at times it feels like)
anyone else playing well for a game has become a bonus
Not only lack of effort on the foul but the whole overtime period. It was like we were playing with no fire. We fought back in regulation only to let them jump out to the lead, make turnovers, and not go after rebounds. The refs sucked too, but that is not an excuse.

You're probably right, and I'm just venting, but can anyone remember a year where Pop's coaching has been THIS frustrating?
I'm not even trying to point fingers but my god
I'm talking about just his shooting (not that he won). I thought I recalled two past times when he was 8-for-8 or something in the midst of games against the Spurs.
