County Officials Plan To Attract NFL Team

    POSTED: 9:22 pm CST January 4, 2007
    UPDATED: 9:20 am CST January 5, 2007

Bexar County officials said they'll do what they can to peak the interest of any major sports team, including the San Diego Chargers.

Officials said the NFL team is interested in coming to the city.

Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff said they hired Michael Sculley, City Manager Sheryl Sculley's husband, as a specialist to help lure sports teams.

Wolff said he plans to meet next week with Sculley and San Antonio Mayor Phil Hardburger to work on ways to attract the Chargers.

We don't want the Vikings. Well... ok, I'll we'll take 'em.

Even if SA gets a team - I am a Cowboys fan. I really don't care much about this.

its all about how much revenue they'll get out of this SA officialstalk about beingthe 7th or 8th largest city but in contrast they're also the 37th or so biggest tv market

that wont cut it for any team except for the spurs obviously

and it wouldn't have for the Spurs either if the vote to build the AT&T Center was turned down.

If they couldn't lure the homeless Saints over, there is no way they are going to get the Chargers from San Diego. Especially not when they are doing so well. And how the is the old ass Alamodome going to lure over an NFL team?

I'll believe when I see it.

The Dome needs some major renovations for it to happen.....or a new stadium.
