    SPAM blah blah blah

No championships are won in January blah blah blah

Thats all BS tonight. You heard Duncan say this was a must win. This is the biggest game of the season so far, and this could be a game that if the Spurs win, could propel them forward.

Believe the hype. This is the biggest game in January the Spurs have had in a long ass time. The 2 November games were huge, and this one will be even bigger. Thats not to say that if the Spurs lose tonight that they have no hope, but this may be the kind of game we look back upon after the season as a turning point.

    This game is HUGE.

Agreed, huge regular season game, as big as they come. The Spurs need this win to boost confidence. A loss obviously does not mean we are done, but it will give the Mavs a big psychological edge, one like we used to have over them.

We went through all this build-up last year vs Pistons and Mavs, and Spurs got trashed. Remember Christmas Day 05?

The Spurs 6-4 is Last10 and the record in Big Games like tonight gives timvp's pessimism for tonight solid grounds.

    Well, we'll see tonight.

Boutons, I'm sure you're a nice person in real life, but man you honestly come off as though you drip with pessemism. I hope you're not as miserable as you come off.

Its ok to be a normal fan and to have HOPE.

    "have HOPE."

The Spurs have broken my naively hopeful heart plenty of times.

When I expressed my anger and frustration here, I got trashed for hoping the Spurs would play in the season like they can do in the playoffs.

Enough breakage, the only reasonable, defensive position is one of lowered expectations.

I HOPE the Spurs win tonight, but THE SPURS, in these types of season games over the last 3 years, give me little grounds for optimism. They've lost them more than they won them.

I will be as happy as anybody if the Spurs win, of course.

I've got LOTS of nasty-ass fireworks to set off tonight at 9:30, if ...

Risking jail and fines and burning down the neighborhood ... for the Spurs.

I agree with this, Spurs just suck in regular season "statement" games.

There are no must win games in January. There are no huge games in January, for that matter. All this panic over a little winter losing streak is too much. One particular game in this part of the season is almost meaningless. If you've been a Spurs fan since before the les then how can you not see this? Remember when we used to get up for big regular season games against the Jazz, Rockets and Suns in the 90's? When we would win it would seem so important at the time. Spurs commentators would say that we reached the turning point. Then we'd get destroyed in the playoffs. Be cool about this downswing; act like 3 time champion Spurs fans, not Mavs fans with their Spurs hating penis envy.

This whole the regular season, SPURS take it to the next level in the Playoffs is stupid. A true Champion gives 110% during the Regular Season & the Playoffs. I hope the SPURS are not thinking the way its fans are. PINCHE BOLA DE PENDEJOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All games that are recorded, do matter. If Dallas gets home court throughout, they will win it all.

If you give 110% in the regular season then you just borrowed 10% from the postseason. I'm only half-joking.

The Western Conference is so tough these days. You simply cannot go full speed for all 82 games and expect to be able to give 100% in the postseason, especially with the Spurs' age issues. Look at the Heat last year. They gave about 70% in the regular season, and that worked out pretty well for them.
