    That's how Walton called him

So what's the veredict on his game?

    Is he ok?

    Does he suck?

    Is the jury still out?

Limited but good. I hope Elson or Butler play consistently well enough to displace him from the starting center spot for good, but neither has shown the capacity yet.

    He's a bargain...

Try not to judge him by whether or not he gets minutes...Pop's subs utions are a mystery...as evidenced by the fact that he obviously deserved more minutes last season than he actually got...

He will never be anything more than a hustle player that cant jump over a piece of paper, but he hustles his ass off and is a good low post passer.

I like Fab! He is really physical and rebounds well. I also like his shooting. We will see how he does with more minutes and Elson back from injury, but for now I like Fab!

I like him, he is a good hustler on the court with some pretty decent court vision. He still has alot to learn but I think he does well for now.

I wish he either had Elson's athleticism or Elson had his basketball smarts. He makes the right rotations and he's crafty as all , but he's so limited physically that its ridiculously hard for him.

He's at his ceiling right now, but he's consist there. I don't know, I really am not a fan of seeing him play, but I do love his smarts. He's someone who can take advantage of certain teams and matchups (he's seemed to kick ass in every game against the Mavs this year, for example).

The weird thing to me is he's like the opposite of Manu. Manu brings energy every night, while Oberto sometimes doesn't bring it and kinda zones out. Pop ripped him a couple times ... until it finally cost Oberto his starting spot.

The good thing though is that it seems like he shows up in big games. He played well against the Mavs twice and well against the Suns. Hopefully that keeps up and he brings it when the Spurs are in the playoffs.

But if you think about it, Oberto has always been a big game player. On the Argentine NT, he was always the steadying force in those must win games. Just off those performances alone, I'd trust him more in a big game than any big outside of Horry ... and that's if Horry is actually playing well.

Pop thinks Oberto is a Center. I don't think it's Oberto's fault. Is a cat a dog? Is a horse a moose? Ask Pop.

as we speak he is the best Center in the Spurs organization. That should tell you how uphill this season will be.

that being said. He's as good as any decent backup C in the league.

I think Oberto is a slightly above average player, but he should be a 2 forward, not a center.

He's usually wide freaking open on those, but he hits them enough to do some nice damage.

Whenever teams actually attempt to defend him, he does nothing.

Well I'm glad he's making them pay for leaving him open, so later on when they wise up to him, it'll provide a nice tandem for Timmy, when we're going big.

I like his hustle. It's what the team needs in big games. I want him to be close to a 100% finisher around the bucket. He can't miss layups.

Is it me or does Fabri and Bonner get wide open looks? I wish we could post videos because I swear, opposing teams don't even guard the two.

I love it when he spreads around the court for a short jumper. It's big money right there.

Fabricio can hit midrange shots better than Duncan at this point. What is wrong with Duncan's midrange? and not to mention his classic midrange off the glass, it is a thing of the past

    What is wrong with it?

He made a turnaround 18 footer last night that was just sickness.

Along with the same shot against the blazers.
