15 blocks in the past 5 games by my calculations (and that's with 0 against Memphis!)

It was about time he realized...."I'm it".

Sheer volume of opposition players penetrating means he should be getting plenty of blocks, there is enough oppurtunity.

He started to block shots. That's good, but he still need's to show more aggression.

I believe the term for it is Horryitis. I expect him to be catch it again soon once the Pop lecture wears off.

Did anyone else notice that Timmy picked up the intensity on both ends of the floor after the non call against Camby. It was great to see him go to work himself instead of constant complaining.

I'd much rather have a healthy Duncan come playoffs than an angry Duncan going 120% to make every play and getting hurt right as the first round comes by. Just a thought.

Did anyone else hear the commentators mention that Duncan is the 3rd most blocked player in the league (I think by percentage of shots blocked and not the total number of times blocked). I knew I wasn't imagining it...he's been bringing the weak sauce this year and needs to be much more aggressive.

One of the biggest problems with the defense has been our reaction to other team's 'small ball' offense with Duncan playing center.

He either can't or won't shut down the lane, letting fast guards parade to the hoop with impunity.

Maybe he's been cautioned by Pop not to endanger his playing time because of fouls but this is a defect in our smallball counterstrategy. We can't afford to lose Duncan and teams like Dallas take advantage of it.

"after the non call against Camby"

That little emotional jolt, along with all his other crap at udes and responses, convinces me that Tim really is bored to death with his $1M/month job.

His psychological decline/immaturity is worse than his physical decline, and is at least as bad as his supposed PF last season. He won't be able to work out how to react to and manage his physical decline if his head stays in the wrong place, stupidly up his ass.

Duncan's averaging 2 blocks per game now. That's better than .8 during the first five games of the season. (Am I right?). And his steals numbers are up and his trunovers are pretty down. If only we could do something about that jumper...

    I AGREE!

I HOPE HE KEEPS THIS UP, WE "NEED" A LOT MORE INTERIOR DEFENSE. IMAGINE HIM AND ELSON SWATING SHOTS!

And the rest of the NBA players go all out 82 games? All players coast through the season because the season is too damn long. 52 games max.

there are spur players that do not go all out for every minute they are on the court even for 50 games
