He greatly improved himself in the San Antonio Recreation League.![]()
Dwyer is a rotisserie geek. Basketball rotisserie geeks are the worst ones, because the tie between the officially-kept player stats and the actual contributions that lead to winning is more tenuous in hoops than in any other sport. This causes the geeks to produce results that make no sense, such as Devin Brown's being "on the cusp," or Carlos Boozer's being considered the ninth-best player in the NBA. The discontinuity between their statistical machinations and objective reality also causes basketball fantasy geeks to be more defensive and obnoxious than those in other sports, which in turn, combined with their unkempt and pasty appearances, creates the visceral desire to take somebody like Dwyer, shove his head in the toilet, and flush.
Yeah, Devin Brown isn't the 23rd best player in the league.
But he'd probably be the 2nd best rebounder on the Spurs and the best defender against the thicker swingmen in the league.
Devin Brown would be more useful than Finley, and possibly Brent. That's depressing.
Go Spurs Go!
browns havin a good game against the wizards now.....
Let's see... how many players are there in the entire league? He would be near the bottom of the list.
