Spurs are going 8-0. Book it.
The annual rodeo road trip is coming up, look at the following schedule:
Sun 28 @ LA Lakers
Wed 31 @ Utah
Thu 01 @ Phoenix
Wed 07 @ Washington
Fri 09 @ Orlando
Sun 11 @ Miami
Tue 13 @ New Jersey
Wed 14 @ Detroit
The two sub-.500 teams we do play have two dangerous players in Wade and Carter. This is probably the toughest trip I can remember for the Spurs, yet I'm looking forward to it the most. I want the Spurs to be tested like this. Fortunately, this is when the Spurs step it up. They did it last year, they did the year before last (a little worse though because Duncan was injured), and I think they can do it again.
Keys to finishing with 2 losses or less:
-Bowen is gonna have to step up his defense. The guys he has guarded this season have torched him at times. He is gonna have to bring it every night, which I think is definitely gonna happen.
-The bench/role players need to band together. As one of the ESPN announcers just said, our starters have it together. As much as I rag on them, and everyone else on this board, we have to be thankful for the fact that they are all healthy. Last two years that has not been the case. But like I said, the bench needs to step it up, no more inconsistency. Hit your shots and play defense every night.
-Pop is gonna have to develop a solid rotation. It's time to find the linup and "stick with it" as he so stubbornly says all the time.
-Duncan is gonna have to score and rebound and play defense hard every night. I'm thinking he will, but no more silly lapses like we've seen at times this season.
With that said, I think the Spurs will finish 7-1, with a loss at Detroit. This is gonna be hard but I have faith that the Spurs will step it up like they always do.
Spurs are going 8-0. Book it.
Jesus that is a brutal trip this year. I think we'll be lucky to go 4-4 the way we're playing now.
the Spurs have the Suns on the 2nd night of a b2b, ouch
not to mention detroit after NJ
Best case scenario is the Spurs win 5 games. That is a murderous road trip.
Spurs will go 5-3 unless they make a trade before then
Sun 28 @ LA Lakers =W, depending on how they play against them tonight
Wed 31 @ Utah=W
Thu 01 @ Phoenix L b/c its Phx and they are transition gods
Wed 07 @ Washington =w b/c Arenas can be stopped
Fri 09 @ Orlando =W
Sun 11 @ Miami =W
Tue 13 @ New Jersey =W even if they've traded Kidd by then
Wed 14 @ Detroit =L b/c Detroit will have Billups and webber to ago along with their current lineup
I'm hoping there's a lightswitch.
Ok, that, we are going 0-8.
If we've made a trade by then 6-2. If not then 2-6.
I keep looking at DraftExpress rankings. With more losses we can drop into the early 20s range. Alando Tucker, here we come!
holy , am i reading that schedule right? jesus, that is going to be some road trip
If the Spurs don't make a move before that trip, it's going to be:

For the first time in a long time, I'm going to have to echo that. There's too many cracks in the armor. The Spurs are being exposed for a lack of quality depth, players that can play on both ends of the court, and the overall age of the team is showing- especially in the 4th quarter when shots are clanging short off the front of the rim.
Nevermind that our franchise player still can't make freethrows consistently...![]()
4-4 if lucky.
1-7 if things happen as they have been this year.
6-2* if we actually get a maggette or buckets.
8-0. If not, 0-8. Take it to the bank!
