McDyess gave a forearm shiver to knock over Minnesota's Mark Madsen while they were underneath the basket jockeying for position on a rebound. Garnett got mad and fired the ball at McDyess, who charged at him with his fist ed.
Garnett retreated, but was also ready to throw a punch. No blows were thrown, and teammates and officials stayed between the two to prevent any serious trouble.

KG threw a half-hearted punch at McDyess. But, as mentioned he flung the basketball at Dice first. That should definitely merit a suspension. If not, Stern won't hear the end of it from Marshmelo fans.

He back-pedalled. Stayed within range so Dice could get him if it didn't get broken up. Stayed ready to fight. He did not marshmelo and run like 50 feet back.
He didn't stay in the range of anything except the exit

I think its hilarious that KG backpedals and doesnt want to escalate the situation and that means 'he is smart'
Melo made a big mistake by punching someone, then realised it would cost him and he backpeddled to not make it any worse.
The only difference is that Melo oved back alot quicker.
KG has to get suspended at least a game or two coz Melo was dealt with extremely harshly.
