It scares the living bejeezus out of me to think people have actually paid this band united states and british currency to see them live.
Why is this band popular? I know the popularity has waned as of late but thats just because they're in between albums. The radio play has remained consistent.
But why? I don't get it. I also notice this band is popular amongst the ladies, kinda has the Dave Matthews Effect on them.
But why?
Their debut single "Yellow" was an obvious teenie-bopper version of a bad Radiohead song. I don't remember how they got more popular after that atrocity of a song but my entire chode turned inside outwards once I heard the song "Clocks" then turned outside in when the masses loved and cherished this song as if it actually took longer than 20 seconds to come up with the piano parts backing this song. It bewilders my ing mind. Why are they so popular?
Their latest single "Talk" has a catchy little guitar part that sounds exactly like it was taken note-for-note from a Smashing Pumpkins song off the b-sides CD Piscies Iscariot. And then we look at the lyrics. For gods sake:
The message forum format will not permit me to paint a picture for you of how incredibly annoying Chris Martin's voice is when he says the word "talk" in this song, but im sure you have all heard the song on the radio before.Cause I don't know where I'm going and I wanna talk
I feel like I'm going where I've been before
And I wanna talk
It's the one where he says this line over and over again throughout the chorus and towards the end:
I justLet's talk
Let's talk
Do you wanna talk?
dont
get it.
Why is this band so popular? I had a ing nightmare of Chris Martin's voice saying "let's talk let's taaaaaalk" and woke up in a cold sweat. No I don't have AIDS. I just listen to the radio all day at work. Today I was forced to walk over and turn the er off when this song came on yet again.
Why? Why is this band so popular? Enlighten me. Please.

I don't know what it is but I have heard that song!, it goes like CLOOOCCCKKKSS!!!!!
I don't know what it is but Coldplay proves the British invented rock and roll
A better question: why are people like Fergie, Chamillionaire, Jim Jones, etc making the money they do off of the most re ed, immature songs ever?
ing chicken noodle soup, are you kidding me.
I dont listen to that or the type of radio station that plays that so I would prefer to keep that kind of out of my thread, thanks.
Lets stick to explaining why coldplay is popular. Why? I really think there are hordes of people around who wonder the same exact thing. HORDES. They are just in hiding. Like I was. But I need answers. Dammit.
hyeah, whats crazy is that James Blunt makes coldplay look like Slayer
Ben Kweller makes this band look like Dying Fetus!!!!
that is a better question. fergie is a ing joke...
11-18 year old girls have always driven popular music, and generally dont like fozlur, the jetsuns and southern gun culture
Well me ing neither but it's inevitable that I hear it. I don't listen to the radio when it's my option and when I do, I go with rock and classic rock stations.
As opposed to the fabric softener Coldplay.
Bet. I listen to the same, but sometimes I listen to a random radio station that usually plays 80s hits like Information Society's "I wanna know---what you're thinkin----TELL ME WHATS ON YOUR MIND" or New Order's "True Faith", but will stick in the occasional new hit, and they seem to love playing "talk" by coldplay. Why is this band popular?
John mayer makes coldplay look like dying fetus pre label bootlegs
id listen to a station that only plays pretty hate machine NIN, information society, depeche mode and new order
Mookie, You're Beautiful. Your're beautiful it's true.
Why is this band ing popular
I really hate clocks. I was once listening to a radio station, and they played that song back to back.
All free radio sucks ass. I listen to nothing but Howard Stern, Hard Attack Sirius 27 and Octane Sirius 20.
Do people in this country even realize they had a single led "Clocks" ????
It's because 15 year old girls think their music is "deep".
have you heard that new KLOKZ da REMIX that was taking Dallas by storm?
Then the future is bleak because I've googled and read the lyrics for all of their popular songs and one song is about how Clocks are a valuable item for a human being in today's society, the other is how he wants to walk to a physical point in space-time and engage in the act of conversation.

15 year old girls rule the music industry. Why do you think Fergilicious is so popular? The future is bleak my friend.
