SORRY VINCE: Carter was edged out by Gilbert Arenas to start for the East team in the All-Star Game. But hours after the announcement was made, Carter acted as if he thought he had made it.
"I'm thrilled," Carter said. "It's always a great feeling to be selected as an All-Star and as a starter, so I'm happy."

Carter still has a chance to be named to the team, along with Kidd, when coaches announce reserves next week.

I think there are more deserving players. Like Ben Gordon,Loul Deng and Caron Butler. Granted the East is weak but these players stand out in the East.
