Why is this happening in my neighborhood?
There has been a stabbing at a Northeast Side high school.
Police and EMS were called to Reagan High School just before 2 p.m. after a student was stabbed.
The 14-year-old student was taken to University Hospital. The student's condition is unknown.

I would have expected something like this at Roosevelt, not Reagan.
The kid was Airlife to a trauma hospital that has on duty surgeons that specialize in Pediatrics, Cardiovascular and Thorasic injuries, and Neurovascular services. From news reports, the kid was stabbed in the chest. North Cental Baptist Pedi ER would have done 1 of 2 things: #1 Stabilized the kid and then transfer him (as an EMERGENT TRANSFER aka MEDCOMM by EMS) to University anyway. #2 They would tell EMS to take the kid to University.
If y'all ever want to know what hospital ER's can handle what types of patients...just send me a PM.
Apparently this was the result of kid #1 breaking the Mercedes hoof ornament of kid #2's car.

Just proves the rumors wrong. Those who think crime and drugs aren't in every school are just fooling themselves.
my daughter called when it happened. the victim was a kid who rode her bus. I called the school and they said it was an isolated incident so I didn't didn't need to come and pick up my child. She says tonight the latest rumour has it that it was gang related. It was during one of the lunch periods. We all got an e-letter from the NEISD/Reagan principal tonight assuring us there would be extra police there tomorrow and that all would be hunky-dory.
Comforting, huh?

Dear Reagan Parent/Guardian,
I wanted you to be aware of a serious isolated incident that occurred on our campus today. Two Reagan students were involved in a physical altercation in the campus courtyard. One of the students was injured and taken to the hospital. The second student was quickly apprehended, so a lock-down was not necessary. Nevertheless, we will increase the number of North East police officers present on campus tomorrow.
The North East Police Department is working with the San Antonio Police Department to investigate this incident. While confidentiality laws prevent me from giving you further details, I wanted you to be aware of this matter in case you hear rumors or see media coverage. I also wanted to reassure you that the safety of our students and staff is of utmost concern to us. We will work diligently to make our campus as safe as we can.

no school is off limits to this . some girl on tv tonight was saying some of the students knew something was going down today... her parents need to beat her ass when she gets home... this is some sad .
