its not that bad. just a little more "modern" looking i guess. i havent had any problems with it yet. it seems just as simple as it used to be, just more colors and bigger pictures. kinda similar to the ESPN design, but still a little simpler to navigate.
oh well, what's new... a bag like RonMexico (who tries to get sympathy by telling his roomate to "make me sound pathetic") starting threads to about anything and everything possible. i have never known someone that es as much as that dude.
the fact that they tried to rip off ESPN makes it worse - the simple design was the best.
you can't easily navigate among sports like you used to. when the terrible design affects functionality, then it's bad.
One of the sports sites needs to have the balls to just go with a Drudge Report layout.

What screen resolution are all of you (those who don't like it) using?
I'm running 1600x1200 and it looks great. Everything is accessible.
My brothers computer is 1024X768 and on his system, I agree that it looks like . The large pictures take up most of the screen, and you have to scroll down a whole page to access anything.
i got 1280x1024 which should be enough
and it still looks like
I wouldn't even try to use it if I was less than 1280x1024, but clearly the ideal setup is gonna be 1600x1200.
Kinda weird. While I don't think sites need to be made to accommodate 800x600 anymore, I do think a standard of 1024x768 is more appropriate. Not everyone will be able to view it at is optimum level this way due to hardware restraints. I guess they think everyone has a 21 inch monitor and a SLI setup!

Even with the resolution adjustments (I've always been at 1280X1024), it's too clogged and congested... basically, they tried to copy the terrible designs of ESPN and the others and have alienated the fans of the simple design. It isn't just the layout, it's the color schemes (what's this baby blue for links???) and they've shrunk all the headlines to the top right, basically throwing them away.
Not only that, when you were in the NBA page before, you could switch to any of the other sports with the toolbar at the top. Now, you have to go back to the main page to switch sports. It's just a sign of poor user testing and design and a rushed implementation - you shouldn't lose features in an "upgrade."
Not surprisingly, they haven't put up a poll asking if the users like the new look... I've already wrote 3 emails to customer service. Maybe I can get all those people who signed the pe ion to have that guy kicked of Grey's Anatomy in on this too.
No you don't. If you hover your mouse over "Sports Home" it gives you a drop down menu to choose any of the other sports pages. You do not have to go back to the main page. I think it gives more features this way, and a less cluttered look.
Also you can hover your mouse over "Fantasy Sports" for a drop down that shows all of your teams without having to go to a new page.
I personally love the look. But everyone has different tastes. I think they were going for the Vista look which has become popular on sites all over the place.
I think it will take some getting use to. But I think it will grow on all of us.
Well, they can always incorporate these new features into a classic, text-based look like they had before. I'm not saying the features are poor (didn't know about that hover feature - thanks... I was too frustrated to give it much of a shot), but I think the design, layout, color scheme, and emphasis on photos (loads more slowly) are way off-base.
kinda like foxsports. not to bad. espn still the best site on the web.
except for the part where they make you pay to read everything
espn is gay unless your an insider. and for the free trial you have to give them your credit card number then they send you crap mail and email.

they havnt changed the look of their fantasy sports.
It's stupid and they should change it back.
