It's just one loss. A dirty, horrible, kicked in the nuts kind of loss
So the rest of us can be spared.
It's just one loss. A dirty, horrible, kicked in the nuts kind of loss
Bring on the losses.
It's the only way things are going to change.
Sadly, this is what it has come to.
It's just one loss. We are clearly head and shoulders better than the Mavs & Suns. We have Duncan, Manu, and Parker...we don't need anybody else. We also got Finley, who is great too. All we need is Tim, Tony, and Manu and we got the championship in the bag. We don't need a center, we can just plug (_______insert name here) and we will win the championship. We don't need Bowen to score any points, his shut-down defense is all we need. We won the championship before, and we'll continue to win championships with Hall of Fame coach Popovich and our 3 stars.
Anybody still want to do Bennigan's?
I might have to start drinking.
Sadly that has been what I find myself rooting for.
We are one move away from being back into contention. The right piece falls into place and this team will gel. The shots will start to fall again. The game will get just a little bit easier.
Hey, I'm downtown in the St. Anthony's tonight, if you want to come down here.
"Down" here?
I'm no geography major, but I think DC is north of San Antonio.
That move likely isn't going to happen. The silver lining, which actually ain't too bad, is these losses may mean a somewhat better draft pick this year. Time and again the Spurs have been just short of getting the player they wanted. Maybe this time they will.
It counts as two losses.![]()

I stand corrected, Bear.
I started drinking the day they got elson, butler and vaughn... i need drugs now...
its only one game in february... stfu... bandwagoners..![]()
Johnny...
I am so depressed right now, if I start drinking, they'll have to drag me out of the place.
BTW--sorry for my cruel words the other day.
Maybe they'll play James White.![]()
I actually don't think the Spurs played that bad. They were getting shots they wanted. Their defense was decently solid until the flood gates opened up at the end.
Duncan played well ... he just couldn't hit the shots he always makes. Add in a better offensively performance by Duncan and some better shooting (Bowen, Oberto, Beno, Horry, Finley and Vaughn combined for 1-for-18), the Spurs easily win the game. Oh and not getting outrebounded by 10 against the worst rebounding team in the league would help.
I can live with loses like this where the Spurs fight much more than I could live with those loses earlier in the season where the Spurs just didn't come to play.
well...for me it's only 2 losses and counting...LOL
is the sky falling? sort of, i kind of wish for a few more to force the FO hand and hopefully duncan calls them es out too.
I hate this so much. Spurs look so out of sync in these games, it's like they're playing with eachother for the first time.
Not to mention how predictable they've become on offense. 4down, Parker penetrates, Ginobili shoots a 3, everyone else watches.
Choke or no, at least Dirk could score 23 PPG on Haslem in the Finals.
