Anyone Here From/Lived In the Boulder/Denver Area?

The company I work for recently acquired another company based in Boulder and I'm interested in a position that they have a need for. My sister went to school at CU, but that was a number of years ago and things have changed dramatically, so she doesn't know too much about the goings on there anymore.

So, anyone have any scoop about living in that area. Only thing I know from searching on the internets is that housing prices are greatly different from what we pay here in San Antonio.

We lived in Aurora for 3 years.

Denver is cool, because you can ski, you can raft, you can fish, you can bike, you can climb, you can see MLB, NFL, NHL, and NBA.

It's just in cool.

Traffic is a , houses are expensive..

But yeah... much better than the hole city of San Antonio.

Stay away from Federal Street........

In Denver, they are tolerant of transplanted Texans.

In Boulder, they think anybody from Texas is personally responsible for the deaths of Iraqi children.

Nothing wrong with Federal Street. They have very good Mexican food all up and down that street. Better than San Antonio Mexican food. They even have a Security Service Federal Credt Union on Federal. LOL. Denver is very nice. Lots to do there if you're a sports fan. Boulder is a college town. A hippy town too. Not too far from the Rockies though and you can do lots of outdoors stuff up there. However, cost of living is pretty high compared to SA.

If you like rich hippies (which seems like an oxy-moron to me) then Boulder is the place to go.

The area from Denver to Boulder, which used to be nothing, is now extremely developed with malls and businesses, thus it actually has housing around the area as well. North of Boulder towards Loveland is also a relatively affordable area to live still.

Cost of living equates roughly in that a 200,000 dollar home in SA will run you 400,000-500,000 anywhere along the front range. However, property taxes are far lower there then they are here so you off set the monthly bill a touch. It's still far more expensive in Colorado there. Gas is also higher there, obviously.

Colorado is by far and away the most beautiful place I've ever lived, you'll never get bored there and after living there for 10 years, I'm pretty sure they don't make fat people there either, so you'll have that going for ya.
