American Idol for sure. Well, anything reality based really.... Most of those shows are so over produced... you aren't seeing reality you are seeing what the producers want you to see.

It's hard to say which shows are overrated if I never have watched the show, but the only show that comes to mind is Grey's Anatomy. Only because it's competing with CSI. I see that 24, Lost, and Survivor are on people's list. Of these three shows, I have to stand by 24! This show keeps you on the edge of your seat!
Oh yeah, there is another show that comes to mind, 'cause my friend watches it. That show is ....The Family Guy!! VERY OVERRATED!!
Wow. That's one of the best animated series ever. But different strokes for different folks.
My vote goes for 24. That is lame as . I'm all about Grey's, Lost and Idol though.

Lost has gotten pretty bad.
being overrated is something not many people understand, shows like greys anatomy arent overrated because you dont hear much about them, just like bones or house, they are just popularly popular shows that they come out with every year. The only reason people would consider them overrated is because they win some awards and have high ratings. Also the names of the three shows i have just mentioned are rediculously stupid and encourage people to scoff the out of them on the reg. A show like american idol, while ruining america, wouldnt be high on the overrated scale because everyone thinks of it as a family gameshow, same with all reality shows, theyre not something in which actors or writers play a part in, also compared to the other doctor shows i just mentioned american idol is the best because they have young round breasted girls on them and the people suck at singing even make me laugh. so basically youre left with the shows that people blow their chodes over- 24 and lost. I guess prison break can be thrown in there to because its like lost, you just wonder why the show hasnt ended yet

Television in general is overrated.
If anything, Lost is over-hyped... not overrated.
Weeds
family guy's first few seasons were ok, but the recent ones are bleh. it's just a thrown together collection of pop culture digs that rarely has a coherent theme. some good characters, but it's very inconsistent.
