No. Who would play C on the second squad? Also Elson would get eaten up by most SF's in the league. That is possibly the lowest scoring lineup we could have.
What do you think of this starting line-up:
PG: Tony Parker
SG: Bruce Bowen
SF: Francisco Elson
PF: Tim Duncan
C: Fabri Oberto
Would it work???
We would have size some quickness and more rebounding over most teams.
Elson is quick enough to stay in front of most of leagues SF and is long enough to alter shots or even be a weak side defender.
Bruce can defend the SG better than pure 3´s so it would be better for him to.
Bonner and Horry could split minutes with Oberto and Manu could replace Bowen and Elson.
The rest could stay like it is...

no cause the sf on the other team would go by elson easily, and unless u take out one of the bigs real quick we wont have any to come off the bench except for horry. This line up wont spread the floor either.
Elson needs to be center.... damn, it hurst to say that.
Pg:TP
Sg:Bowen
SF:Bonner(when healthy)
TD
Elson or Oberto
manu:best sixth man of spurs history
resault=more rebounds,good D,very decent scoring
Bonner @ SF????? You have to be kidding.
Are you people on crack? putting Bonner or Elson at small forward? yeesh. Delete this stupid thread please.
well, this is what we´ve got man.
bonner has a decent 3 pts shot, and he can spread the floor
with bonner,TD and Elson or oberto we have to get at least 5 to 8 more rebounds p/game
thats way too slow of a lineup. teams like the Suns and Wizards would have a blast against those guys.
Fin, Barry, and Bowen also have decent 3pt shots and are slightly better athletes...although it's sad that they should be monumentally better athletes.
How about this starting lineup?
PG: Tony Parker
SG: Eva Longoria
SF: Pop's gardener
PF: Tim Duncan
C: a mariachi from Riverwalk
could this work out?
No it would not work.
Why the would someone like to have Oberto, Elson and TD in the starting 5.?
I hear the mariachi's got range for days!
yeah! and our PG and SG would share the ball!
also, when Pop calls the play to go to the hole, our oponents would all run toward Eva, and we'd have open layups!
Bonner or Elson at the three would be death to the Spurs on defense.
Hey...don't knock it! Remember THE TRIPLE TOWERS??? You don't remember this frontcourt?
C- Will Perdue
PF- David Robinson
SF- Tim Duncan
????????? See?????????? F SMALL BALL!!!
I think that would be a horrible lineup. Elson couldn't guard many SFs and the offense would be atrocious.
I can't think of any advantages of that lineup.
except that it might strengthen our bench!![]()
How about this line-up
Kori Ellis
TimVP
Beno
Coyote
Mouse
bench:
TPark
SequSpur
Ploto
start Beno??? are you out of your mind?
I know that, like you do I follow the Spurs every game Phat, but The thread was started cause a lack of rebounding,so I suggested bonner cause He can rebound better tham Finley and Barry together.
I think the lineup could work with more rebounding teams like the Jazz for example, but it won´t work with teams like the suns.I´m just giving an alternative more rebounding lineup.
