That's true. I've never went to Mavs forum in my life. To actually create an acoount and trolling around - is just beyond my imagination.
I love these guys who talk about "us" and "them"... their iden y is wrapped up in "their" team somehow. No objectivity, no sense of self as separate from this team they've adopted. Nothing they say is really interesting or useful as it's all from this warped point of view.
Somehow this person has to justify and explain how the Mavs winning the series last season doesn't really mean the Mavs are better than the Spurs, because if they were, this person's self-worth would be crushed, since it's all tied up in "my team". If "my team" fails, then I have failed. Right?
Time for some truth.
1) The Mavs and Spurs couldn't have been closer to being tied last season. They were equal to within a gnat's eyelash. Someone had to win the series, it happened to be the Mavs. Deal with it.
2) The NBA is entertainment. It is not your life or your self. It's very interesting and compelling entertainment, but it's still just that.
