Now that is out of the way, and that it could be a while before the Spurs talk about championships, let's talk about their 3 from years' past. Which is your favorite and why? I've got to go with 2003: We ended the Lakers dynasty, and just how close it was (Game 5 deciding game), and it was awesome blowing them out in Game 6 on their floor, sending them home. Everyone remember that Horry shot in Game 5 vs the Spurs? If it goes in, it's a disaster, but that would happen the next year with Fisher's 0.4 shot.
After years of frustration, we finally beat them and end the Lakers dynasty. A true dethroning of the champs is when you beat them, then go on to win it yourself. Only the Spurs have done that in recent years (with the true dethroning of the Lakers and Pistons in '03 and '05). No one has truly dethroned us with any of our 3 championships.

My favorite will be the 2007 championship because its gonna catch most Spurs fans off guard. Get ready for a hefty flip switch, beotch.
The first one is always the best one.
I bet you didn't even care about the 03 and 05 les.
05 was the worst.....
No actually it was pretty awesome.
I'd say '03, because we beat the Lakers on the way and it was the Admiral's last season with us.

'99, because I got to go to all the home playoff games from the LA series on.
I'm a "newbie" to the board, so I'll answer this question.
Geez, it's tough. 99 was the first and great, but it seemed so easy. We dominated buzzer to buzzer that season. 03 was beating the Lakers, which might have been the most satisfying thing ever, but the finals were a comparable let down afterwards.
05 was probably the pinnacle for me. It cemented us as a dynasty, and we beat a very very tough Detroit team after they mauled us in the Palace. It was by far the most satisfying finals, and the Horry 3 was an even bigger shot than the Memorial Day Miracle. That entire play felt like destiny, watching Sheed run to the corner and then Horry standing there all alone... you could just feel it happening. That was the only Finals that we played an opponent truly capable of beating us, so when it went to 7 and we won, it felt like confirmation that we had a great team.
2003.
I didn't live here in 1999, so it was different for me.
I loved the 2003 team and really enjoyed that playoff run a little more than the others.
Kori had the hots for SJax.
In '99 it took a Mario Elie calling out the team as soft before they started playing lights out in a shortened season. That season was the start of the mid-season "this team is soft" speeches that get thrown out every year as a motivating tool.
They're all specal, '99 being the first one, '03 sent DRob out with a bang, but my favorite is '05. That one seemed like the hardest one to get, making it the most satisfying and worthwhile.
We really need to quickly start the over/under vBookie on the return of these quitters.
03 - first finals win on our home court... beat the lakers to get there... drob's last year... finally a le to shut up the * turds.
2003 for me. Seeing Robinson go out a champion on his home court and killing the Lakers 4-peat along the way was the best. I was so drunk and stoned by the end of Game 6 that I was just jumping up and down, racing around the room and hugging everyone. Good times...
I go with the 05 Spurs they were crushed after the Lakers series with Fisher hitting that damn shot the year before. Timmy had all sorts of ankle injuries people were doubting him in the finals saying he had no heart and we are chokers. Game 7 Timmy and everyone stepped up and won it all that was my favorite one.
03.
The defeats and clinching games against the Lakers, Mavericks and Nets were so much friggen fun.
2005. we finally beat a decent team in the finals with heroics all the way around. plus, i was bartending the night horry hit his dagger for an enormous amount of piston fans. what a glorious day.
2005. The 2 best defensive teams of all time in a slugfest. It was bizzare how we blew them out twice at home, and then couldn't even bring the ball up the court in Detroit for games 3,4. Each basket in the last 3 games was an intense struggle.
