I see you got that from rumor mill so im not going to waste time going to that.
usually when they talk about broadcasting stuff, they know what they're talking about.
i guess i'm in the minority so far here, but i liked irvin on tv. i can't stand when players refuse to admit they're not homers for their old teams. his owens stance was kinda lame and played out, but i liked him as a commentator - he was also good on the dan patrick show.
I liked him too
he was like
"Now wait a minute..now wait a minute.....the colts are good--on paper. The colts are good, ON PAPER...but we talkin bout tha dallas cowboys here, fellas! The cowboys! Colts ain't got a chance!"
I don't think his Cowboy homerism bothered his bosses as much as his T.O. worship, which I can't understand. For some reason Irvin and Deion both fall over backwards defending TO like he's got pictures of them together or something. No matter what Owens does they stick up for him. Deion got DeAngelo Hall to forgive TO after spitting on him.
The whole thing is a little creepy and I can't figure it out.
But I think what really did Irvin in was the racial comments about Romo.
What racial comments?
Irvin was a great wide reciever but good lord did his commentary suck some serious ass.
Defense hole?
No.
translation - "If the other team's defense can hold"
Because he's a crackhead.
holdup, according to Irvins wikipedia bio, he left espn...
Wikipedia gets edited, so I'd be careful. Supposedly he was canned because they were afraid he'd say something derogatory, they being ESPN
No....he's a cokehead..get your straight!Because he's a crackhead.

You have Irvin confused with Andy Reid's kids. Crackheads.
from richard justice:
Michael Irvin's divorce from ESPN apparently was about money. Irvin, buoyed by his new Pro Football Hall of Fame status, overestimated his value to ESPN. When the parties couldn't decide on a dollar amount, Irvin asked about supplementing his income outside the ESPN empire. He says he was told he could but only if ESPN, which doesn't like to have its employees appear elsewhere, approved of the project. End of negotiations.
