I guarant-damn-tee you he told them not to play him.
I know it's the All Star Game and it's not important but man he got screwed in terms of minutes. He didn't even play the entire 4th quarter.
He and KG got the biggest Shaft minutes-wise especially considering the fact that they were starters and that D'Antoni's boy Amare was a reserve and played WAY more minutes than KG or Tim.
It was nice to see Tony get good minutes and play well though.
I guarant-damn-tee you he told them not to play him.
I dont think Duncan really cared or wanted to be out there
tony parker had a lot of minutes and he wasn't even a starter, 24 minutes and had ten assists, so you should be happy about that because several guys got a lot less
btw, parker played very well, congrats
good.
who gives a , as long as our boys come back without getting injured, there's nothing more to ask for.
The ASG means nothing. It's not even that entertaining to watch.
Hey, it's good for us ; he needs to save some juice
Find better things to and moan about forum.
Everyone came out of the game injury-free. That's the most important thing.
man that, duncan should have got his minutes. why da did the fans vote the starters if they dont get to see them compete? no one wanted to see amare, marion, josh howard and ray allen out there more then duncan dirk and garnett
the starters should have got the remaining 6:00 for the fans who voted but d' asshoenie had to be on amare and marions nuts. and i dont even wanna think of nash in that line up, it would have been a sun skeet fest.
Personally I think Tony played that much because he was the only PG on the West.
good. imagine if he was playing in the final minutes of the 4th and suffered an ankle sprain or something..
Richard Hamilton suffered a jammed finger in the 3rd quarter.![]()
did u guys see the expression on duncans face when he was being introduced as a starter? man was he bored or what. hehe
In my opinion not playing a lot at the all star game is a pretty big sign of respect. I am sure that Duncan or Pop asked that he not play a lot and D'antononi knowing how important duncan is to his team probably was just trying to do what he thought was best for duncan.
Tim's not even the type of All-Star that fits well in the All-Star games anyway...
The all-star game is just a bunch of athletic dunks, which Tim can't do.
Just three's and dunks.
That's the All-Star Game.
yeah i agree, i was telling my bf that it was actually kind of good that they had either him or kobe out there to play point, kobe also had six assists to go along with parker's ten
anyway for the person above ing about guys like josh howard and marion getting minutes (he didn't get many) as a reserve, parker got more minutes than a lot of guys, even starters, why didn't you include him in that list while you were busy ing?
anyway, doesn't matter it's just a silly game and the east didn't even try so it was boring

My favorite moment: a WC All Star, maybe Marion, threw down a NASTY dunk, and on the way back up the court, he YAWNED for like 8 seconds. I was thinking "you and me both, brah".![]()
First, it was D'Antoni. He doesn't know anything other than small ball
Second, you don't think TD and Pop asked for limited minutes? They have for years in this game, it's nothing new.
Quit crying, you sound like an Amare fan.
yeah, I don't think Timmy really cared to play that much...I'm sure he requested that he play very little as well. Tony, on the other hand, was the only "true" PG on the West team...I think he would have maybe played 10 minutes had Nash been there. That being said, I also think that Stoudemire would have won the MVP.
Seriously, though, who cares about the MVP and whoever wins the game? Of course, everyone wants their own team's players and their conference to win, but it doesn't mean anything? Notice how Eddie Jordan played neither Butler nor Arenas in the final quarter. According to the announcers, he was spending the break looking at tape of the Wizard's next opponent.
The game is all about showing off for the fans...spectacular dunks, big scores, etc. It's a showcase for fun, but meaningless, and I suppose most people know that (with the exception of this thread-starter).
Tony has the legs to be ready for the Spurs next game...Timmy is already thinking of it...and the rest of the team is ready to practice and get buckled for the home-stretch of the season.
The game was fun to watch, but I'm glad the two boys didn't think they had to put up any numbers (Tony threw up a bunch of alley-oop passes, but no effort was involved and it was all for show).
I did enjoy seeing D'Antoni play the crap out of his players, Marion and Stoudemire, though. That guy doesn't get it. He runs the same 7-man rotation all season, wearing them out...and does so even in the all-star game...this is why his team won't be ready for the playoffs (see Detroit, 2006).
That wasn't a yawn, that was his primal scream.
i swear to god spurs fans are the biggest goddamn whiners of all fan bases. this thread is in good company in this forum. ing ridiculous. cry me a ing river.
way to read the entire thread again, genius...man, you don't get along with anyone, but then i already told you as much last time you just went by the le of a thread to post and bash an entire fanbase
Maybe he'll promise a 50 point game Gilbert style the next time the Spurs play the Suns due to his all-star minutes snub.
