John Wayne is rolling in his grave.....
anyone seen a green carbon arrow with flourescent yellow/orange vanes?
I was practicing with my bow yesterday and was at full draw holding on the target in my back yard when I got the uncontrollable urge to sneeze. I tried to release before the sneeze but too late...I heard the arrow hit the fence right above the bag and that was the last time I saw or heard from it...I looked everywhere...fortunately I didn't see any neighbors running around with an arrow sticking out of their ass, but then again it's a pretty fast 70# bow and I could have gotten a clean kill LOL.
Easton Axis?
yeah, and you almost killed my dog!![]()
Depends, you talking strictly target or maybe a hunting/3D rig?
Also, how much do you want to spend?
The plant eating dog?
1369 probably knows more than I do about them. I got mine strictly for hunting...
I got a Mathews 70# LH Switchback with a schaffer fallaway rest and black gold flash point 4 pin site...IMHO it's a good combinatiion of fast/quiet. I picked up an '06 slightly used and have about $700 in it with arrows and setup. New would be around $1100.

The reason I asked about hunting/3D, is you may not know, but there are 3D shoots (Compe ions held outdoors on a course that has three dimensional targets shaped like animals (deer/bear/alligators/etc) set int he woods at different unmarked distances. The skill is being able to correctly judge the distance for each target and then hit the target in the correct spot.) that are held at different times of the year.
If you're in the San Antonio area, I'd suggest going to the Bow Shop on Speedway or Barkley's out in Boerne off I-10. Both the guys who run the shops know their , will let you shoot different bows to find the one you like, and then can rig it out for you.
For a quality bow and accessories, you can plan to spend around $1K.
"I thought you guys were extinct . . ."
No...that would be the squirrels.
My dog is a diva and can do no wrong!
If you ever run up to see the Victoria crowd, I originally bought/rigged out mine from J&J Archery in Port Lavaca.
If you get one that'll run to the rigs, I'll pay gas.
I've been itching to try spearfishing.
im ok....im ok...is this yours?
